Cornucopia.

Where it is: 

The Cornucopia was originally located in the lake district, but it now has stores in the forum and the northern district of the city.

Description: 

All demigods need the essentials to survive. Food, drink, toiletries and lets not forget the ambrosia and nectar. In New Rome it is no different, with New Romans all needing groceries. 

For the longest time there was no one place that you could go to purchase all of your essentials. For the older generation of New Romans this was nothing out of the ordinary, after all there were stores for everything in the city. However, for the younger members of the city, they were dismayed to find out that there wasn’t a wal-mart within the limits of New Rome. 

This all changed with the advent of the millennium, when Regina Phillips opened the first Cornucopia. 

It was a bigger hit than expected and soon the small supermarket had expanded until it needed to purchase new locations across the city, offering everything that you could think of (including weapons) the Cornucopia certainly lives up to its name.

Who owns it / runs it:

Regina Phillips, a daughter of Abundantia owns the Cornucopia chain of supermarkets.

THE CORNUCOPIA: Prompt #5

TAGGING → Gianna Lopez

LOCATION → The water area around the Cornucopia

TIME FRAME → Monday, March 3rd. 

DESCRIPTION → The games have started, and Gianna does what she can to get something before going for safety.

Standing on the pedestals waiting for the signal to go off for them to begin was harder than Gianna imagined it would be. She could see Santana and Aubree, and that was all that mattered to her in that moment. She didn't know if she could even make it all the way to the Cornucopia. There was swampy water surrounding them, and Gianna wasn't familiar at all with that kind of environment. But she was going to try, even if it cost her her life. She sound went off, and Gianna watched as she and the other tributes made their way through the awful water. 

Her main goal was to get something. She didn't know what, but she had to be able to have something with her to keep her going for a little while. She was moving quicker than she thought she would be able to, but it wasn't quick enough. She could feel her heart pounding. She talked a big game about how she was just going to obliterate everyone, but she was starting to see that maybe she should have kept her mouth closed. 

She passed all of the smaller backpacks. That felt good. She was getting that much closer to the Cornucopia, or at least to a bigger backpack. Gianna found a dry patch and kneeled on it as she lifted the backpack from the ground, hoisting it on to her back. She took a breath and stood up, before hearing a scream. Looking towards the Cornucopia, she watched a few of the tributes go down. The sight made her feel absolutely nauseous. 

She could hardly feel her legs. She was scared. She had fears before, like she always felt before the reapings, and all of the nightmares she would have. But this was nothing compared to that. If it came down to it, she could kill someone, but not necessarily up close. It's have to be from a distance. She pinched herself on the hand, and she inhaled shakily as she started to run. Or well, run as best as she could through the mushy surroundings. She saw Aubree running off, and that made her feel okay. She just had to be able to find her.

As Gianna headed in the direction of Aubree, she did what she could to make sure she knew where Santana was too, without getting hurt by any of the other tributes. She stumbled, and got covered in more of the marshy water. "Fuck, this is so gross.." she griped. Gianna regained her footing, and kept going. She could hear the cannons signaling the death of the tributes, and it was horrifying. 

She felt something go whizzing by her, and whatever is was just barely missed her arm. She gasped slightly, but shrugged. Gia made it on to the solid ground where the trees were, and she took off, hoping to get to her girlfriend before anything bad could happen.

PROMPT #5 || THE CORNUCOPIA

TIME FRAME → Monday, 3/3.

LOCATION → The water around the cornucopia, inside of it as well.

Standing in the middle of a room with her stylist, picking and prying at her, Kitty groaned a little at her nerves. The person who was picking at her, actually showed a lot of care for her and she didn't get why. "Kitty, you will be fine. You are beautiful, and your brother and I are rooting for you and your sister." Hearing word of her sister, Kitty's heart dropped at the thought of her being alone, but she knew that she could do it. She knew that Sam would take care of her, but that sinking feeling in her stomach didn't go away.

Groaning a little, she felt her nerves shaking her a little more then she was moving before she could speak up to say thank you. Her thoughts instantly went over to Brody next and Ryder. She wanted to keep them safe, and she would do anything to make sure they were, but she was scared for herself at the same time. The next thought came and went as she was met with a bright sunlight in her eyes, making her hand move up to block her eyes before it dropped to see people standing all around. This was it. This was the time that she was preparing for, this was when Kitty could possibly die or make it through.

Looking around in a panic for Ryder, she spotted someone who looked like him, but it wasn't. It was Landon, he didn't look at her with her look that Ryder had for her. Shaking her head, she heard the time go off then she ran out into the water. Lifting her legs as high as possible, she groaned from pain before grabbing a small backpack then she looked up to the middle of the cornucopia. She needed a weapon. She needed it. Pushing through a little through the water, she tried to go as fast as possible, dunking from peoples hits to each other or just trying to not die as she kept moving through.

Watching people fighting amongst each other, all that she could do was panic in her mind. She could hear people screaming, some crying from pain, and some that even could have been Chloe, Ryder, or Brody. She didn't know what she was supposed to do, and the only person that the small blonde could spot was people who she didn't even know. Looking up to see she was closer to the weapons, Kitty was about to go in for her knife before she heard Brody's voice.

She knew that voice. She knew that yell. She knew it was Brody. Seeing a small knife once she was in the middle, she grabbed it then turned around to run back out. Nothing was easy, people weren't even giving people a chance, while she knew they didn't deserve it anyway, some of them. Looking for Ryder, she spotted him grabbing a bag over in the distance, and then turned back to looking for Brody. She was completely unsure of where to run so she started off in the direction of Ryder whenever she tripped over a body that laid in the middle of the water.

"Shit!" She shouted then looked over at the person that she didn't know before standing up, bouncing almost back to her feet. Spotting Brody finally, she felt a rush of relief whenever he wasn't hurt, but she saw a body under him making her heart sink while she looked at him. She was frozen, something just wouldn't let her move, and then she noticed him bleeding. That only made it worse.

She kept her eyes on Brody trying to stop herself from fainting while she did. Her mind was racing, and she had no idea what she was supposed to do. That girl was Marley, or her sister, and the person who killed her was the guy that she liked. "Brody." She managed to say softly then she watched him, his expression, she knew that this wasn't what he wanted. Her face was almost ghost white as she did then she watched him run over to grab the sword before he looked at her again.

She wanted to run to him, make sure that he was okay, but before she could he was gone. Making her way off in his direction, she felt a slice on her arm, making her scream in pain as she turned to look at the girl, standing there with wide eyes. "Keep running, or I'll kill you myself." She snapped at her as she held her knife up, the girl running off as fast as possible. Turning around she held her arm then started off to Ryder.

She couldn't find Chloe, she must have been gone, and all that she wanted was her to be safe. Finding Ryder, she kept running to him in the process while holding her arm close to her small body. She had to find Brody, she had to. She couldn't find Chloe, but she could find Brody if that was only not Marley that he had killed.

The Cornucopia - Day Twelve - ouathg

At first, Lo had stayed near the edge of the maze, in the hope that the rain clouds would stop drawing near to them.  But when the rain clouds kept getting closer, he decided that he'd better move closer to the center.  The maze was not easy to navigate and if he waited until it started to rain on it, then he would not survive.  He needed to get closer to the center and hope that the rain wouldn't reach that far.

It took hours, but eventually he found his way through the maze and to a path that lead straight to the cornucopia.  He knelt down on the ground right next to the hedge, and tried to see who was there without drawing too much attention to himself.
