"You look better when you Smile, Espresso."
Lyrics— punish, by Ethel Cane
Enid: I'm just saying, if we got attacked by a demon, I'd totally protect you
Wednesday: With what exactly? Glitter and unearned optimism?
Enid: I—
Enid: —yes?
Wednesday: *sighs* I'd let the demon take you just to see what happens
Wednesday: For science
The couch had a new gothic friend that night
Will forever remember the time when I first was interacting with the Trigun fandom and asked what The Couch Scene was about. To which another TikTok user replied “GAY SEX!”
I fucking love this fandom
So, I've been carrying a copy of Trigun Maximum 10 in my purse for a while now. I've been re-reading the entire series with "get a fresh book off my bookshelf to stash in my purse for when I need to wait for things." I've been taking things with 10 veeerrrry sloooowly as if it would postpone the inevitable. I was waiting at the local Indian restaurant today after work for some takeout - walk-in order, takes 15 minutes or so. I pull out my book and right there in the waiting-area booth... I got couched. And it's not like I haven't gone over this scene 50-million times, but I was tearing up a little and I hoped the host/server who was telling me my food was done didn't see it. "Welcome home." This damn manga!
My friend just watched tristamp for the first time, having never consumed any trigun material before. To only know a world without the couch is a world I'm deeply envious of
Trigun fic!
In honor of me finishing Trigun maximum have 1.2k words of wonderful canon compliant post couch angst!
