Both Jerico Soberanis (Arc of a Scythe series by Neal Shusterman) and Jericho Northwood (The Last Magician series by Lisa Maxwell) unapologetically kick ass and take names in their respective stories. Both die (and technically survive the end of the story) protecting the female protagonist (and none of them are romantically entangled in any way)

These two characters die to defend what she represents and out of hope for the future. For the idea that things should be different than they are and I love them both for it

I’m reading the last magician series and the way that Lisa Maxwell can put herself in the mindset of her characters is masterful and hilarious.

Harts POV: “OMG she didn’t even bother to cover her ankles :00.”

“Her legs were so distracting in men’s trousers”

Absolutely kills me it’s so funny but then when it gets to Jack and he’s just an absolute righteous asshole it gives me such an ick, I can’t deal with it.

Also it makes me so sad how tiny this fandom is I want more people to rant with.
