Dimetrodon: it's a thought that I can count on. When my darkest thoughts have got a hold on me, I close my eyes and I remember all their giant teeth. To shake off the problems that have piled on, I picture the sail-backed giants of Dimetrodon.

Okay i may be a bit tipsy rn (sobering up) but i wanna keep sharing songs. If i haven't said before i relate to others best in song so here's another song that I love... i met Laser the Boy (one of the duo in The Doubleclicks) back in November in Chicago and i'm glad to have met him.
Here's my favorite part:
"I love my friends, I love them so much more than me
It feels like they all know just who they want to be
And I’ll always feel lucky that anyone talks to me"

GRYFFINDOR:
“I know you disagree, but I'd rather save the world than just save face.”
–The Doubleclicks (Can’t You See The World Is Ending)
It's a long story, but way back in 2016 I went to Toronto Comic Con with my buddy Justin to shoot some footage for a music video.
"Geeks in Love" was one of the singles off my geek music record "Borken Telephone" and I was lucky enough to get The Doubleclicks to join me for the track! I wanted to do this song justice!
The footage was great, but life got busy. We shot 3 other music videos in a single day the same week, but I just couldn't find the time or energy to figure out how to edit my very silly and spur-of-the-moment video ideas into a proper video.
So I moved the footage onto a hard drive, and after 4 international moves in 5 years, I lost track of it entirely.
Until last week.
I recently moved (again) and found the hard drive (and the footage) while I was unpacking.
Watching the raw capture made me realize how much I MISS conventions. This pandemic has been hard. Really hard. I miss my friends. I miss the geek community. I miss the low murmur of 10,000 nerds in a big room.
So I decided to finally edit the footage together into a video. It's cut together rough, and it's corny as heck, and the pandemic has left me a little more jaded and cynical than the very earnest guy who appeared in this video. But I needed a little corny. I needed to remember there will be good things to go back to. Eventually, when it's safe.
And I needed to remember the amazing community of people we're sacrificing to protect until it's safe to gather again.
So here's me saying I love you all, I miss you, and I'll see you on the other side of this!

that isn’t what happened but it’s what I remember don’t tell the host I don’t want to offend her but I’ve never felt stronger while loving so tender and we tried so hard but we were still wrong about gender
