Compliance while cornered

"Now then, Dragonslayer."

"Actually, it's Cyren." They remembered the beast; fangs broken, ribs heaving, eyes wide and fearful. It lay coiled in a pool of it's own blood, and the blood of those brave souls who had come before, their body parts strewn about, their swords and spears peppering it's hide. All energy spent. No struggle, no teeth. It was all Cyren could do to put it out of it's misery.

The Red Knight clicked their tongue. Cyren broke from their evocation.

"No."

Cyren couldn't see their eyes through the visor, but The Red Knight's gaze burned into them all the same. Their fingers tapping against the hilt of their sword, impatient without something for it to cut. 'No?' Cyren mouthed back.

"I think not. Names are for children, and those with nothing to show for themselves. Be proud! Dragonslayer will suit you well. Unless..." A slight head tilt to the left, teeth flashed in the hungry sneer that fit them best, "There is a problem with that?"

"How... foolish of me, you're right." The Dragonslayer composed their best, shaking smile in reply. "What use is a name in days like these?"

Another shot of my half-sleeve progress! Two more sessions to go! Next I’m getting Black Swordsman Guts colored in, and then last I’m getting Berserker armored Guts and the background colored. I’m so happy with it. 😍
