one thing i know about monstrous regiment but always forget on rereads: - toward the end of the book, maladict starts getting vietnam flashbacks even though she is in a world where neither the us nor vietnam exist, which is explained as 'just a vampire thing' one thing i realized about monstrous regiment on this reread: - 'i want my sixpence back, you son of a bitch' is A FUCKING PRINCESS BRIDE REFERENCE
