Pirlipat the Nutcracker and Maiko Stahlbaum are the main characters for my version of the nutcracker! more info about them below the cut!
Pirlipat- Maiko’s Christmas present from her odd new neighbor, Christian Elias Drosselmeyer, brought to life! Pirlipat attempts to be chivalrous turn come across as either reckless or goofy, his heart is in the right place though. Pirlipat also suffers from some form of amnesia as he can’t remember much of his past. He does know one thing the kingdom of the dolls and the kingdom of the mice should not be fighting! Pirlipat also has an interest in mechanics, especially for things such as clocks and toys though with those clunky wooden hands Pirlipat can’t really put those skills to use...
Maiko Stahlbaum- Maiko always thought her inability to outgrow her doll collecting hobby would eventually inconvenience her... just not like this! After being mysteriously shrunken down to the size of a toy Maiko go on a journey with Pirlipat to the Land of Sweets if she is ever to be normal again. Although a kind soul Maiko’s training as a ballerina has also given her a strong work ethic and a determined mindset when it comes to completing her goals. Sometimes Pirlipats shenanigans can get under Maiko’s skin but at the end of the day, the two get along quite well. Maiko also can be quite squeamish as seeing anything that grosses her out makes her turn around in the other direction and go NOPE One of her favorite foods is nuts.

One thing about these 4 dragons is that they are not the original dragons from the creation of eiroxane. Even though they are dragons they can only live so long and when they die they are reborn into the next dragon if that makes sense. Their roles in society are kinda like religious leaders? They try not to get too involved with the politics of the countries they look over but they do what they must to try and keep everything in order. Whenever a former dragon dies and is reborn the other 3 dragons raise the new dragon. Also any dragon reborn does not have memories of their past lives and while they will not match their predecessor in looks or personality exactly some qualities will remain. For example, the spring dragon will always be green and a bit more sensitive than the others. Also when interacting with the mortal population they usually shapeshift into a mortal form if that makes sense lol.
The northern dragon- in charge of grauple a bit cold-shouldered and prefers solitude. Has been known to hoard various precious items also likes a good fight, currently is named Boreas
The southern dragon- looking over dolllandCurrently known as Pyrope though children have been known to call her sugarplum for the habit of giving them sugar plums. Very loving but also very fierce always does what she thinks is best even though it might not really be.
The western dragon- Watching over Bestia current oldest of the four just goes by owl. He's wise but has lost some of the sanity with old age often disappears in order to meditate or find truths of the world.
The eastern dragon- Protecting Esterural Primrose is the current youngest of the 4 is truly starting to grasp her role as one of the four dragons. Very shy but trying her best. She still looks to pyrope for guidance at times. Known to almost no one primrose fell in love with a mortal but since this is forbidden for the dragons she is trying to rid of those feelings.

So the start things off is some lore about eiroxane and the islands. So according to long-ago history, a great dragon and its followers fled to the land from an ongoing war among heaven and earth, the great dragon knowing it staying would only bring destruction to the newly found land. So the great dragon left, but not before leaving its for trusted disciples to protect over the land and the surrounding islands and all the mortals who now live there. the final act of protection the great dragon did for the land was create a powerful barrier of fog to surround eiroxane and the islands. None can enter and those who try to leave get turned around in the fog coming back to the shore of eiroxane. It is said however when the enemies of the great dragon are destroyed the fog will dissipate...
The Islands of the Trex Plye Republic- A united republic of small islands Trex Pley and despite its small size has a diverse population of dolls (eiroxane word for human) faunas (furries basically lol) and sprites (elf/fairy-like beings). Trex Plye economy relies on fishing and tourism as many travelers come to see the ruins of settlements past.
Bestia- Bestia runs on a monarchy headed by the Mouserinks royal family. A sense of fear hangs over bestia as war has started with dolland after a failed peace treaty signing. Economy for bestia comes from such resources as lumber, clothing manufacturing, agriculture, and mining. Bestia population consists of a majority of faunas though small populations of dolls and sprites live here as well.
Dolland- Dolland Runs on a constitutional monarchy. The royal family consists of King Ruben Chauvelon the 3rd and Princess Clara Chauvelon with the Prime minister Gerwalta Lancaster. Dolland is currently going under a mechanical revolution with a rise of factories and inventions. Sadly great despair hangs over the kingdom as after a failed signing of a peace treaty with long rival Bestia the two countries are on the verge of war, worst of all during the failed peace treaty Princess Clara disappeared and now presumed to have been kidnapped by Bestia. Dolllands population consists mostly of dolls but smaller populations of faunas and sprites live there as well.
Esterural- a beautiful place full of flowers and majestic mountains esterural has no form of government having instead various nomadic tribes with travel across the country, it is also not uncommon to see one or two of these tribes make their way to the other countries to trade. Most tribes in esterual consist of sprites but the other races of dolls and faunus are also seen with some tribes being made of a combination of all three.
Grauple- A cold land with no government as barely anyone lives there. Those who do are extremely strong or crazy, probably both.
