stp fan chapter (+ OC voice)
with every fan chapter i see I wanna share my own more and I've been working on this one for actual months
Setup/ Chapter 1: keep talking. take the blade. the Experiment triggers when the player exhausts as many dialogue options as possible in chapter 1. Keep asking her and the Narrator questions, make her realise she has no idea what's going on either. Quiet and the Princess agree to pool their knowledge to figure out what's going on and who they are. then you can either attempt to free her, making the Narrator control you like for the Prisoner or backstab her on your own and blame the Narrator later, the result is the same
"As your body moves to attack the princess, she swiftly steps out of the way as if she had been anticipating your decision. before you can react, she spins around, grabbing your wrist and in one swift motion removes the blade from your grasp-" Hero: "wait, how did she do that. she's so fast." Narrator: "-and plunges the blade in between your ribs with an almost surgical precision." Princess: "a shame it had to end like this. I did enjoy our conversation." Narrator: "then everything goes dark, and you die."
Chapter 2: Experiment
"you're on a path in the woods. and at the end of that path is a cabin. and in the basement of that cabin is a princess-" Hero: "again? but I thought-" Creative: "shhht you don't know if he's gonna say the exact same thing, let him finish his line"
meet the voice of the Creative. He views everything as a story and constantly suggest ‘headcanons’ about random details, the princess’s backstory and the world they’re in, trying to ‘yes and’ the Narrator. Not realizing how dangerous his ideas can be if Quiet decides to run with them. He acts like a theater kid/ writer, constantly giving the Narrator 'constructive criticism', acting like he understands him and just wants to help. of course he doesn't really understand the echos motivation, he just thinks the Narrator wants to tell a story too.
The cabin: the cabin interior is sleek and clean, with no sign of any living thing ever setting foot in it. lab aesthetics basically. you can hear your claws clicking against the tiles with every step.
"if the princess lives here, slaying her would probably be doing her a favour"
This princess won’t call out for you, instead the narrator describes an expectant silence.
the princess is still chained against the wall but eventually reveals she "picked the lock before you even entered the cabin"
Bring the Experiment to her: (main route)
When you tell the princess about the voices she makes a comment about wanting to hear them as well, if you allow them to the voices will then start talking out loud like in patd allowing for Princess and the voices to speak directly. The narrator refuses to talk to her and doesn’t even confirm if he can use quiets mouth like that at all. (Creative theorizes he can, given he can also control the rest)
the Experiment is fascinated by your ability to reincarnate, the voices and the Narrators role in all of this. If you share her curiosity and grill the Narrator on her behalf Curious will grow frustrated with his refusal to answer anything, leading him to start worldbuilding on the Narrators behalf, simply making up answers to the question despite the Narrators protest. eventually the Narrator will attempt to take over again to kill the princess (since you refuse to be helpful and Creative established this is something the Narrator is capable of), causing the Princess to start her experiment. Which is cutting you open to find where these voices end and the Narrator starts.
The Experiment: the princess throws you off balance and the fall temporarily knocks you unconscious. When you awake the princess has chained you to the wall in her place, using all 3 chains available. Whether she took it off you or fetched it from upstairs, at this point she has the blade and plans to use it to test your immortality and internal anatomy.
if at any point before this you chose not to share all your information or lie to her she'll treat you more like a test subject during this, quickly becoming more intrusive and violent. if you work with her she'll still take you apart but she’ll talk to you reassuringly while doing it.
When she starts the narrator gives up trying to kill her, gets a drink and awaits your death. But Creative is on a roll and refuses to leave all his worldbuilding behind to start anew. Curious basically takes over for the depressed Narrator, keeping Quiet alive but also acknowledging the damage. Resulting in a Razor type situation where more and more voices appear but the world does not reset.
anyone barely notices when the Narrator fades
the princess does notice however when the walls of the cabin are replaced by textured nothing. "this cold is new... isn't it?"
