Hi, I’m Cyn I’m ANTI AI write/draw it yourself!Sometimes I write 🥰 Always posted on ao3, I made the decision to restrict it to registered users only 🫶 I am a self indulgent writer and I write purely for myself (few exceptions, but even so I enjoy the fics I write for others). I share my fics on the off chance someone else might like them too, I don’t feel the need to defend my choices especially if I don’t know you. If we’ve established a connection, then I’m all for chatting and explaining my thinking. Send an Ask or Reply to a post and we can start there! 😘 I highly encourage writing your own fic, make it how you want. Please don’t try to cater a fic to me (I’m extremely picky) or anyone else. Do it for you! 🩵

I’m very easily set off by the canon ship and my notp. It’s not cool to be rude and leave mean comments. There are people who like those ships and make things for them. I just refuse to engage.

I’m a fangirl first and foremost so I thrive off leaving love letters and reblogging things (primarily on my main account). I only comment on things I enjoyed, I don’t like angst/mcd.

I guess I have to add the super obvious, there are no bad endings in my fics (unless I specify in the beginning and I will tag it cause I know how it feels since I hate reading that shit myself.) if you’ve read one you’re read them all imo. We just take slightly different routes to get to the same conclusion: my ships are meant to be in every single universe and that’s final! I preach commenting because I think it’s the absolute least we can do when an author has done so much by giving us these amazing fics to read, but I’m not someone who needs/wants praise, don’t comment if you’re gonna be annoying. Either read it and move on or just exit the fic, it’s really not that difficult.

Okay I give up, I’m just gonna list all my fics and tag them on this post instead. Again this is for my own personal benefit.

Hearing Pleasure by Two Feet on my daily mix makes me think of my kaishi fic idea… I mean technically it’s an established shinshi fic but it’s complicated… maybe I should write the royal verse (this is a different idea). Or maybe I should finally write the canon divergent of the Honey I’m A Sucker When You Linger verse… I still need to write the last prompt for CoAi week so maybe we’ll try to do that then think about other things *sigh

Update: I have completed the draft of my super short CoAi entries. Can’t wait to see what everyone comes up with!

I keep seeing the take that authors on AO3 need to stop deleting their fics and instead to orphan them without any explanation of the consequences of orphaning a fic and as an author I really need to say something to this.

Stop telling people to just orphan their fics.

Orphaning a fic means giving up any and all ownership over it. No way to claim it back, edit it or delete it. Yes it's an archive but an author should still have the right to delete their work if they feel like they don't want it to be up anymore.

Readers always scream for authors to orphan their fics instead of deleting because they feel like they have a right to the fanworks that is shared with them for free. If it's so important to you to not lose a fic, download it. Also comment and encourage the authors, instead of telling them to give up all ownership to their work.

To authors, if you think about deleting your fics, there are other options you should employ first. If you don't want it connected to your name, put it into an anonymous collection. As long as it's in there, noone can see you wrote it, you still can edit ot or delete it and moderate comments on it. You can even move it to anther account, just create another one, add it as co author and then take your main account off. Then you can still edit it from your second account but it's no longer connected to your account.

If you don't want it to show anymore put it in a unrevealed collection, that way, the fic won't show up but it's still there, you can still see it, read comments and make it public again.

If you feel the urge to delete your fic, try one of these options first and see how you feel about it after a while, you can still delete or orphan afterwards, but this hopefully makes your decision easier.

Only orphan a fic if you're 100% sure. This is permanent, there is no way back from that, AO3 support will NOT help you if you did it on accident or change your mind. Don't listen to people telling you to just orphan it, make very sure, this is what you want.

I keep going back and forth wondering if I should start another project. It’s one more reason to keep me tethered to this ship. I love them, but sometimes I get so pissed off and want so much better for my queen. It’s why I overcompensate. Idk. Nothing is pulling at me, I used to have a gazillion ideas at all times and I low key still do but idk it’s not the same

I drafted the next chapter of the powers verse already, I think the one after will be it. Wrote more for CoAi week, I just have two more prompts to finish but I keep putting it off… with one more wip done soon though I’ll need another project. Or just hurry and finish the sibling verse but I want another verse! The question is, which one? I also keep wondering if fic 101 should be CoAi week or a new multichapter verse
