Aka the most chaotic friend group in total drama, all brought together by Neha's inability to keep her identity a secret. Neha, Eva, Izzy, Zeke, Katie, Sadie, Trent and Justin.

To set the scene, Neha's under contract to act as a male (as 'Noah' because of a mess up with the application that Chris doesn't want the higher ups to know about since he was supposed to be doing it but pawned the job off to someone else. But at least she gets paid for it

Neha is also well aware that the competition is rigged since he tried to get her to act as a minor antagonist for the season 'for the plot' but she doesn't really care since her goal after seeing the contract is to get a job, not win

So it starts with a costume malfunction in the first challenge and Trent finding out. But he's cool with it. Even helping her cover it up from their fellow teammates, especially since the guys are sharing a room

But then Neha decides she's had enough and gets herself eliminated. She's getting paid anyways, and what's the point of putting in effort when she's not going to win

The second discovery is at the playa. Neha is sleeping in her room, wig off, when Zeke comes barging in screaming about Eva trying to kill him and needing another dude to help. Eva comes in like a second later.

It's very awkward, but they agree to keep it secret if they get a cut of the pay. There may have also been multiple threats of bodily harm

Katie figures it out on her own- she and Sadie had played 'who's most likely to' back on the first night and accidentally predicted it. It kind of stuck on her mind so she kept collecting evidence after her elimination. It kept her distracted from Sadie not being there.

Speaking of, Neha swears her to secrecy and she agrees! Katie also immediately tells Sadie after she's eliminated and the two spend the rest of their time following Neha around (to her dismay). With the exception of joining Eva's workouts

Zeke gets his feminism education from the girls, as well as figuring out that his home life is not healthy. At all.

He also gets to play video games for the first time with Neha who doesn't mind having someone to play with

Justin goes on his demon tirade at the lack of attention on him. Because he always gets attention- whether he likes it or not. So it's really unsettling when it's all focused on someone else. Someone who's ugly. Clearly it's supernatural! This kicks off a miniature prank war.

Eventually Neha accidentally reveals herself in frustration when Justin is listing off his evidence, and in response Justin accuses her of being a shape shifter then settles on her being a witch. He sticks around them purely to protect the others from this dastardly witch!

Part way through the season, they think they have an infestation of some kind of animal and shenanigans ensue.

Turns out it's just Izzy who's been biding her time until she can return to the game to cause some chaos! So she's been stealing food and people's stuff for fun

Izzy is then the one who spills the beans on the entire game being rigged- it's soooooo obvious!

But the show is also a good way to get herself out there for future jobs- if she shows that she can act as different 'characters' and stick to it, then future employers will be just lining up! The only reason she mentions it is because Neha called her out.

And that sparks an idea in Katie- because if they're going to be stuck here and aren't going to win anyways if they're eliminated, then why don't they ALL have fun with it??

And so, for the rest of the season, the seven of them discuss what gags they want to do and pranks they want to pull. Neha gets dragged into it unwillingly

Izzy also officially claims herself as the leader and everyone happily goes along with it

Trent eventually joins in, he wanted to talk to Neha to see how she's doing with keeping it a secret and gets a good laugh after finding out how many people know as well as asking why she didn't try to bribe him. But he's welcomed in with open arms, they even sneak into the staff area to steal the good snacks for a movie night that night

Eva mellows out more after her second elimination, mainly thanks to Katie, Sadie and Ezekiel. It also ends up with her developing a minor crush on Sadie.

It's at the end of the show, when Chris subtly mentions that only certain people can qualify for the next season to Neha who's officially working for him as an intern now, that the group gets their name- the extras. Because most of them have barely any screen time and are only there to make the 'stars' of the show shine brighter (Chris' words- although he used more of a 'not important enough to the show or brings enough to help build a season plot line')

And they're fine with that- they all know that none of them are going to win, so why not have fun doing whatever they want in the background? Just like some extras in the back of movies. Plus it's not like they have to pay for any damages they cause

Island is basically Zeke's and Eva's arcs.

Neha goes from being incredibly annoyed, to tolerating them all, to somewhat liking them, to actively admitting they're friends. But it takes a very long time.
