CIS MALE + HE/HIM. ) do you have any classes with mike kaplan? i heard they were born on july 26 which makes them a leo: i wonder if ending up at greendale studying communication even though they’re a lawyer was in their horoscope. writing on the bathroom wall calls them the fraud, which i think is a little harsh, but i guess they do kind of remind me of silver tongued lies steeped in scotch, a pit in your stomach no amount of blue ribbons can fill, and a thick knit sweater, tight around the chest: it keeps your heart from falling out every time the wind blows, so it checks out.
so . . . whats your deal ?
everything was going great. until it wasn’t. you built your life on a clever charade, you were a con artist with a nice smile who always had the right words to say on reserve. you got caught in lie after lie until you were knocked off your feet. a king without a crown, you crawled through greendale’s doors desperate to press the easy button. you’re here as a detour, biding your time until you can get back to the good life. you can’t stand the idea of a fresh start, but it’s seeming more and more inevitable with every passing day.
sitting among peers . . .
the bleeding heart : the fraud knows every way to get under the bleeding heart’s skin, and vice versa. the fraud stands for everything the bleeding heart is against: lies and corruption and self absorption. and the bleeding heart’s virtue signaling turns the fraud off: they know people, and they know how to tell when someone is grasping at any excuse to convince people they’re morally upright and righteous. but the study group has pushed them to find some kind of common grown: they’re both just messed up people trying to get back on the right path ( even if they’re still ironing out what that path is ).
the goody two-shoes : the goody two-shoes makes the fraud insecure, point blank period ---- and that’s typically a pretty hard thing to do. the fraud had built a life on lies and shortcuts, on finding the easiest way to get what they want and leaving it there. but the goody two-shoes cares about things, maybe even a little too much. they’re hardworking and passionate and convicted and all these things that the fraud has never been. which makes them the perfect rivals, a pair at the center of group c and group f’s longstanding feud.
the lothario : the lothario and the fraud both have very clear public personas. whether they feel that way behind closed doors or is another story, but in class, they present themselves as confident to a fault, sure in themselves and their place on campus. and it’s like they say: like attracts like. they haven’t mentioned it to the study group, because they seem to have a delicate balance they’re getting settled in, but they started hooking up after the snowflake soiree, right before winter break. neither’s too worried about it getting too serious, since they both have major commitment issues, so now, it’s just a matter of seeing who breaks first.
