So, That Mans name. Is it Asuka or Oscar? I know the translation says asuka but that's just so random, y'know?

Up to recently he was just called “That Man” (あの男 / Ano Otoko), but in the Guilty Gear Begin Novel he is referred to as “Asuka R. Kreutz”. 

The literal "Flying Bird” Kanji for Asuka.

⾶⿃＝Ｒ＝クロイツ

Kreutz is German for “Cross”.

He was also called “The GEAR Maker” by a few others and also sentient Gears, but also called “His Holiness” by Raven who served under him for a time.

It’s unclear why his name is both Japanese and German, or even if that IS his real name, given what little we know of his past, but that is the name he went by when he was still friends with Frederick Bulsara and Aria Hale back in 2016.
