the gripper
I’m so sorry ancient Roman tumblr but I made another cursed Agrippa and Augustus redraw.
My younger brother and I have become infatuated with the concept of a spiderman in the spider verse who just straight up doesn’t have webs. They don’t know the science to make web fluid or any kind of gadgets for that matter, and they don’t have web glands like some iterations do. They still have super strength, spidey sense, and the ability to climb walls, but that’s it.
The idea is that, while they can’t swing around New York, they CAN run at high speeds for long stretches of time. So, while they lack in the creative expression of different web types and unique gizmos, their exchanges with villains often devolve into them sprinting towards their opponent, grabbing them with the freaky wall climbing hair-things, and refusing to let go until they surrender.
We have lovingly named this superhero: The Gripper
The only possible explanation for how Agrippa managed to fix the Roman navy and city of Rome itself is autism.
Someone in my anthropology class just enthused about the gripper with me for an hour I love finding Agrippa fans in the wild.
marcus vipstrapius agrippa
I’d let him crack an egg in my ass and fuck me until it’s scrambled
