♡ i’m beginning to feel self-conscious with so many similar posts, but i think the entire teen wolf fandom needs to think about this for a minute: please don’t be angry with lydia for having an existing emotional connection to stiles, no matter what you ship. she hasn’t done anything wrong. even if you’re upset about the rise in stydia coverage, please remember that lydia means no disrespect to anyone for having feelings. she fell in love before other ships existed, so it is PERFECTLY fair that she has them and they are valid. she didn’t magically develop them out of jealousy or at problematic times. she loved him when there were no other ships preexisting or clashing with friendships and moral obligations. in the locker room, they didn’t know werecoyotes existed. stiles wasn’t dating another girl then. lydia meant no disrespect to scott or malia by falling in love with him and realizing it. PLEASE STOP ACTING LIKE LYDIA DID A BAD THING, especially not after she was able to pull her friends out of their icy hypnosis. they would be dead if she wasn’t there. they did what they had to do in order to remember, and lydia should not be shamed for crying. she has every right to crumble, shed tears and open up about her feelings. the pack is close and they will understand. while i’m not saying scott is a stydia cheerleader, scott would never shame her for what half the fandom is and neither would malia, someone who supports and defends lydia even after seeing said connection and knowing all along. so please stop making it seem like lydia committed a crime by remembering her love --- out of spite because your favorite ship doesn’t happen to be stydia. that’s unfair. don’t treat lydia like she did something unspeakable. she is not a bad character or a bad person and there is nothing wrong with having romantic feelings because they’re her feelings and they’re valid. ♡
