Day 3; the Fuddler and the Jumble

Fuddler and Jumble traveled through the forest to seek out a nice spot for their first date, both were very excited at the prospect of the new relationship and were just as eager to simply start collecting things together, afterall, they were a button and stone collector respectively.

The two happen upon a lake surrounded by a plethora of different rocks and set to stay there for Jumble to add them to her collection. While Jumble was excitedly looking through her options and talking at Fuddler about them, Fuddler realized something and suddenly his mood fell.

"Gosh," Fuddler said and crossed his arms "Excuse me! I just remembered that it's going to be hard for me to collect buttons in a small town like Moomin Valley..." he lamented sadly.

Jumble turned to him and had a look of worry "Goodness, I'm so sorry! I can't imagine how that feel for you!" she said empathetically.

"It's fine, I guess, I can always start collecting something else," Fuddler looked up and pondered for a moment "... But for now I can't think of anything."

"You can help me collect these stones if you'd like!" Jumble suggested.

"Oh! Oh yeah! Excuse me!" Fuddler said and sat next to her to collect the rocks, he held one in his paw and ruminated a bit "So... Jumble... Where are you from?" he asked and looked at her, he figured learning about eachother was a wise decision.

"Oh, uhm... My sister was born in America but then we moved to Finland where I was born," Jumble explained "We travel alot in this country so I can't really say which city in particular, but I like staying in Moomin Valley, feels alot safer, you know?"

"Oh! Funny that! I was born in Denmark but then moved to the United States for nine years, I moved here to get a bit of independence, that stuff," Fuddler said "The country's a nightmare scape anyway- Excuse me! Is that rude?"

"I think most people would agree it's really messed up, honestly, I mean... I don't remember being there alot but my sister would say good riddens to the whole state of Washington. Actually, what state do you live in?"

"New York."

Jumble sucked air through her teeth and quietly remarked "Yikes,"

"I know, but hey, what happens in New York stays in New York," Fuddler waved off nonchalantly.

"I think that's Vegas. New York's the city that never sleeps," Jumble corrected politely.

Fuddler stared at Jumble for a second and looked away "... Psch! Who cares about dumb city slogans anyway, am I right?" he said to mask his embarrassment, but he did blush a little anyway.

"You're so right," Jumble replied and put a paw over Fuddler's "I bet you're smarter than most of the people who live there anyway!"

"Haha... You'd be surprised!" Fuddler said, he wanted to mention his degree but decided to bite his tongue at it, he didn't wanna introduce an expectation he knows he's going to ruin. The two smiled at eachother for a minute and then Jumble thought of something.

"Oh!" She exclaimed "I just remembered I wanted to give you something, hold on..." she opened her pouch and rummaged through it for a bit as Fuddler waited in anticipation, curious as to what the gift is. Jumble pulled out a shiny, somewhat clear green rock and presented it to Fuddler "Here!"

"Ohhhh..." Fuddler said in awe.

"Sea Glass! These bad boys take decades to tumble and form naturally, I found it recently on the beach and thought I'd give it to you since it's so pretty!" Jumble explained and placed it gently in Fuddler's cupped paws "I think it might've come from one of those green wine bottles."

"Oh! Imagine it came from, like... A crate of wine from a ship wreck!" Fuddler suggested playfully.

Jumble gasped "Pirate wine!"

"Pirate wine!" Fuddler echoed.

"Pirate wine!" The two said in unison and couldn't help but giggle about it.

Also, on a random but sort of related side note: You know how Too-Ticky said in MV2019 that she gave Ninny to her sister to take care of even though in the books/comics she never had a sister? I wanna think that's setup for introducing Jumble in the show later on if not in season 3 since the two of them look so similar, please, I swear, let it be foreshadowing for Jumble and by proxy Fuddler. I beg of thee, Gutsy.
