"Your parents," Lucretia emphasised. "Are not best pleased, to say the least."

Sirius laughed, savouring the schadenfreude at the thought of his mother's reaction to Regulus not obeying her every word.

"This is not a laughing matter," she admonished, waggling a ring-covered finger at him. "You need to speak with him. He is drawing up the contract to be signed tomorrow morning because your parents are away in the country."

Sirius snorted, "I'm not doing their dirty work for them," he replied, draining his wine glass in one large gulp.

"In any case," he continued, "I think they should be grateful that Regulus has found an actual human to speak to; maybe it'll stop him from spending his evenings whispering sweet nothings into our mother's knicker drawer."
