Sol/Osha ramble

I know it's been talked about before (even by Mae herself) that Sol couldn't teach Osha to deal with her negative emotions because he was the source. He also couldn't teach because he couldn't accept his own. Both master and pupil had a hard time supressing their emotions which ultimately made them flawed jedi. It's poetic that his inability to supress his 'darkness', which is shared with Osha, is his ultimate downfall. We always talk about mirrors between characters and how Sol screwed Osha over, but they really are mirrors of each other as well. In a way like calls to like and instead of helping each other, it ended in tragedy.

Oh hey it took me sleeping on it to realize but the whole 'everyone thinks mark briscoe's a joke and isn't actually a top guy' thing is absolutely mjf projecting, isn't it.

The amount of people who hate it when he does silly things and isn't 100% serious all the time is wild.

Just thinking about Eddie cutting that line in Eddie begins and how it is so symbolic - because it is the moment eddie cuts the ‘just friends’ invisible string to Buck and proceeds to tie a new invisible string - a far more important and intricate and stronger invisible string

I love that it was a yellow rope as well - he cut communication with Buck (in a literal as well as metaphorical sense - because that rope was also a form of communication in that moment!) and then waited an entire year before communicating how that moment was the moment everything changed.

Has Eddie done another rope rescue with Buck at the other end since?!! I don’t think he has…
