Hello. First and foremost i just wanna say that i really enjoy reading your metas on different characters and i think that you're probably one of the few people i saw give an actual critical thought to every nuance and detail so big kudos to you.
Second, my question might be a bit out of place but i was wondering; in a what if kinda cross over scenario, we know that Gojou Satoru is practically nigh unbeatable in JJK verse unless some conventional means are used against him. My question is, do you think any other character would be able to level him down, bypass or simply negate his abilities? Characters from DC like Superman or anyone else, even any other anime/manga characters with abilities that don't exactly abide to space, defy physics on a complex level and such. I know this might be a nonsense but i think there are scientifical explanations to Gojo's abilities and I really wonder what would be a perfect counter for him?
I apologize if this is a bit too loaded but i am ever so curious what would happen to him if he was brought down from a high pedestal of superiority complex.
Hilarious you said this is an unconventional question, because this is something I've thought about several times before. It's like a puzzle box, how exactly would a person hit Satoru Gojo when he's untouchable, and the only thing that's ever seemed to work are two artifacts that turn his technique off that he's destroyed himself.
Here is my solution! There are two characters in To Aru no Majutsu Index (which I am a huge fan of and have read everything ever associated with it, including the two spinoff manga, and every available translated light novel but also don't ask me about because I'm incredibly embarrassed since the series is like cheesecake) that I think could lay a hand on Gojo.
Accelerator is a character whose abilities are not telekinesis but rather they evolve around the mathematical maniuplation of vector forces, that is like the laws of physics in relation to how things move. In fact, Accelerator is similiarly untouchable to Gojo, he can cancel almost everything that hits him when his powers are activated because he just stops the momentum before it touches him. Accelerator himself is albino specifically because the suns rays don't touch him he subconsciously filters them out and reflects them. while Gojo makes it so nothing ever touches him because everything that gets near him becomes an asymptote, whereas Accelerator just reflects and changes direction they are both characters who have their powers heavily based in mathematics. How Accelerator would land a hit on Gojo though, I introduce you to the second character.
Teitou Kakine, who has the power dark matter, an incredibly similiar power to Acceelerator but he's changing the rules that govern the matter he creates, not just redirecting and manipulating the laws of physics having to do with motion.
"But the normal rules don't apply to my dark matter. The Dark Matter I produce is a substance that doesn't exist anywhere in the world. I don't mean it hasn't been discovered or that it should theoretically exist; I mean it doesn't exist. Matter that doesn't exist operates under laws that don't exist. Like say, turning the light from the sun into rays that can kill a man."
Kakine's matter doesn't follow the rules that all matter in the universe follows, so therefore he could create matter that simply touches Gojo just because it wouldn't follow the rule of creating an asymptote that approaches infinity. Whereas the way that Accelerator defeats Teitou Kakine also shows us how his vector manipulation could create a force capable of touching Gojo.
After being knocked around by Kakine for awhile, Accelerator's mathetmatical control fo the forces of physics around him allow him to redefine the world in a way that now Kakine's Dark Matter has to follow his rules.
"No it isn't. I'm redefining this world as being made up of elementary particles including your dark matter, and once I crack your formula it's checkmate for you."
Basically, Accelerator could defeat Gojo by just defeating him by being better at math than he is. All ESP abilities in Index are math based, and when you figure out another person's formula, it basically allows you to rewrite it and control it especially if you manipulate physics like Accelerator, so it's once again possible that Accelerator through his laws of physics manipulation could just make it so one of his attacks hits Gojo by bending or breaking those laws.
How is it that Keith Lee and drew can't break an announce table but Nia and Lana can?
An equation exists in nearly every relationship, one that of give and take. If either side fails even to the slightest degree, then the whole equation goes spiralling into unknown directions. Perhaps this is the very reason that some of the finest human encounters are the ones you have with total strangers that happen randomly because you know that whatever little exchange or interaction or shared moments you have will not last forever and because there is zero expectations evolving in that brief period. While in the longer run and for the sake of stability, there needs to be a certain structure to relationships but somehow I love these little unexpected stops in the journey - a moment of togetherness, now here, and vanishing the next minute. The moment is gone, but the memory is almost lasting to eternity...
