ASAI’s (The lunarlake) latest 1/4 scale head(s), Ash and Snow, are up for pre-order!  The screenshot above is taken from her Weibo.  Aren’t they gorgeous??  Ash has an open mouth whilst Snow’s mouth is pursed.  They are available in white, normal, grey or tan, with optional matching Doll Family-H bodies.  If matching with another body, a shoulder width of at least 9.5cm is recommended by the artist.  I think either head would make a stunning girl~

Short hair suits her!

Brown wig: Mohair from Kaka BJD. Blue wig: Faux mohair? from Toybar. Silver wig: Roo's bob from Kaka BJD, he usually wears the size 7-8" one now but he fits this one, too. Pale blonde wig: Faux mohair from MiuCat. Doll is an ASAI Mira head on a Pettimal short body, both colour-matched to Volks fair, eyes are from Toybar.

She's wearing the blonde wig at the minute, I like the layered texture on top and how the curls at the bottom frame her neck and ears. I think I'm gonna try to re-colour it to a slightly darker shade, something ashy, perhaps.

For anyone interested in ASAI Mira (see my last few posts), there is a tan head in stock on ASAI’s Taobao.  The shade is supposedly matched to Soom’s Serin/ Rico tan, so you could pair the head with one of the Chinese-sculpted bodies that have colour-matching options (Shoushoudoll and Akagidoll are the only ones I can think of off-hand that offer colour-matching to Soom without having to send a part in for their reference).   

As for other resin colours, I wouldn’t be surprised if ASAI opens another pre-order for Mira next year (with the upgraded headcap that she used for Murphy).  I’ll be on the lookout!

She looks good in every wig I try her in! XD;; She also rocked the deep reddish brown mohair wig Iris has worn before, and even Roo's silver bob in the 6-7" size. For now, she's wearing the long caramel wig... I will trim the bangs and perhaps the length, when I have the time.

As I painted her, I was thinking that this Mira head is one of those sculpts that doesn't need much help, you know? I used much less blushing overall than I did for Nico (Miyadoll Bluebell) or Roo (MiniFee Niella), for example. I have fallen in love with her all over again, now. ^^ I might even get another Mira if Asai (the sculptor) offers different skintones~

Sewing for Iris (The lunarlake Murphy)! I don't know what it is about her exactly, but she is a delight to sew for. ^^

I tailored this ruffle-shoulder tee and jumper dress exactly for her (she is slightly  taller than Yo-SD), but I hope to make a few pieces to fit Yo-SD for sale later on! The bodice of the dress is lined in a jewel-toned teal, I enjoy looking at the inside of the dress almost as much as the outside. XD;
