My knit fabric fixation continues in the form of legging pants. I re-organised my collection just today - one box for solids and pointelle, one box for stripes, one box for prints and patterns like this floral.

Recommended fabric: Linen or linen blend, for its ability to crumple and crease easily~ I used a 50/50 linen/cotton blend for the sample above. Or medium-weight plain weave cotton.

.... Been slightly enamoured of making socks, lately. These are all Yo-SD-sized. You need really stretchy fabric and a nice slim needle to make this type of sock (no elastic), otherwise the sewing will be a pain and the result disappointing.
Pretty satisfied with this version. I'll make one or two more samples and then get the pattern ready for sharing. I was also experimenting with ways to finish the arm-holes and neckline, and found that facing with a strip of thin jersey (self fabric works if it's thin enough) and then top-stitching very close to the edge produces the cleanest result. Binding covers all raw edges but adds too much bulk (see the arm-holes on the grey striped romper), and simply clipping the curves and top-stitching looks too messy on the inside.
At this point, almost all my tinies are wearing rompers of some kind. XD

I've resisted Instagram for a long time but I might finally take the leap! soon-ish! And purely for the purpose of making my own little shop - Instagram seems to have a good format for that, as one can easily get an overview of the various outfits or items available.
I'll keep Tumblr readers posted, which is a funny turn of phrase when one considers that it used to refer to snail mail, and now fits easily with the concept of an online social media "post"... XD
