Reading Alchemised while not being a dramione shipper is certainly ~an experience. Like, I don't ship dramione because it just doesn't make sense to me, but I am dying for Helena and Kaine.
Worldbuilding Wednesdays: The Magic System PART ONE :D
(OH MY GOSH I AM SO SORRY THIS IS A WEEK LATE)
Not to overwhelm you with the questions about the magic system, but how do the villains align? They can't all be Shadow-inclined, right?
They're definitely not!
Picori Vaati: Dual Forest/Shadow, he started off as pure Forest but picked up Shadow as he corrupted himself
Demon Vaati: Shadow
Hyrule Ganondorf: Dual Spirit/Shadow
Ocean Ganondorf: Dual Forest/Shadow
Twilight Ganondorf: Shadow
Veran: Spirit
Onox: Fire
Malladus: Dual Fire/Spirit
Bellum: Dual Water/Spirit
Zant: Twilight Magic, which is it's own entirely separate thing, that special snowflake
Majora: Dual Fire/Spirit
Original Ganon: Dual Shadow/Light (Rare! but invisibility isn't easy)
Hyrule Ganon: Dual Fire/Shadow
Lorule Ganon: Shadow and something weird that he picked up from Yuga, which is probably the Lorule equivalent of Water
Past Ganon: Shadow
i need to revamp my writeblr because (and i know i say this every time but this one is special to me), i’ve found a wip and hopefully i’ve found a new method of actually getting work done and i want to stick with it, it’s so fundamentally different from anything i’ve done before because if i can get this right it’s less of a cookie cutter fantasy epic and more of a story that matters to me because of my own struggles and i want to have a solid place for it on tumblr. anyways, here’s the idea. [keep in mind this is the first ever skeleton of a concept for this].
a girl has lost her family in a fire, and uses her interest in magic and a surviving silver pocket-watch to attempt to turn back time and get them back. however, due to the unpredictable nature of magic, the spell instead eats through her soul in attempt to power itself and she is left with no clue as to how she is getting it back.
did u read and enjoy pride and prejudice? do u like new and fun systems of magic? have you ever wanted to look at a boat?? READ MY MOM’S BOOK
I JUST STARTED READING IT AND ITS THE GREATEST THING EVER. ITS SET IN FRIGGIN JANE AUSTEN TIMES SO GLACIAL PINING IS AT ITS STRONGEST. IF YOUVE EVER WANTED TO HAVE AN AFFAIR WITH FIRE NOW IS THE FRIGGIN TIME BECAUSE THE WAY SHE WRITES FIRE IS JUST ABOUT THE MOST AMAZING THING.
its on audible.
Animal anon here, I gotta say I’m really impressed with your magic branch system! I have a question though, how do the three golden goddesses fit into it? Are they each allied with solely forest, water, and fire, or is there light in there too?
I’m also curious if Demise fits into any branches, though my guess is fire and shadow?
Oh thanks! If you can't tell, I've put a lot of thought into it
The gods are above such things as being confined to one specific Magic Branch, although they will lean into a specialty like everyone else. More specifically, they invented the Magic Branch system specifically to keep certain pesky mortals from achieving phenomenal cosmic power. But for your curiosity, Nayru tends to lean into Water and the Light/Shadow Dual Mix of Time, Farore leans towards Forest and Spirit, and Din leans towards Fire, Spirit, and Shadow
Demise, also being a god, unfortunately also is not confined to one specific Branch, but for your continued curiosity he leans towards Fire and all the Fire Dual Mixes, though Shadow is probably a close second
