I was bored and also have not posted anything on this account in forever, which is a crime because HFSW is my baby. So take thee these classic prequel memes, re-imagined on the Bayeux Tapestry Maker. Enjoy

Things I want to work on before the end of the year:

Updated character references (Anakin, Obi-Wan, Ahsoka, Jedi, Senators, Darksiders, Clones-- okay, so, basically everyone but you know what I mean)

Answering my half-a-year-old asks, restarting Worldbuilding Wednesdays, exploring different aspects of the Archipelago that I haven't touched on as much (The Jedi in more detail, cultures of the archipelago, maybe a series focusing on the different islands themselves, etc)

References for things that AREN'T characters (e.g. ships, creatures, buildings, the ISLANDS THEMSELVES)

DRAWING AN ACTUAL MAP. HOLY KRIFF (this one i may have to actually do in traditional art because of. all the detail it would need)

Maybe fleshing out mini fics? Again, this is mainly an art and worldbuilding project and not necessarily a writing project-- for me, the creator; I MUST emphasize that I absolutely LOVE the fics y'all have written for me and want to encourage you to keep dong that-- but hey, I might write a few things. Or like, do bulletpoints of things that have to change plot-wise due to the nature of the AU and where it's set (e.g. the destruction of Kamino, the siege of Mandalore and its aftermath, etc)

Cackling suddenly because I just realized that in HFSW Crosshair's name makes absolutely no sense. Crosshairs hadn't been invented yet. Bro is an archer. Sniper rifles don't even exist until the Empire. "The kriff is a crosshair," Clone Force Ninety-Nine asks him. Like what did he just think it sounded cool? When sniper rifles were eventually invented did they name the instrument after him? Cause they were supposed to make the shooters as accurate as he was? I don't think the Empire would give him that honor but maybe it was a colloquial thing among the stormtrooper ranks that then became an official thing due to use?? What are we doing here.

I am going to bar myself from saying Fives to avoid undue favoritism, even though his playlist is probably my most involved since I am so meticulous about curating it since it's like a homemade concept album. I definitely think Anakin's is my longest and most thorough playlist, so that's a contender, but if I were to pick an absolute favorite, well. I think Fox wins that one.

Much like the rest of the rest of the story, Obi-Wan and Satine's meeting remains the same as it does in canon plot-wise-- there's a Death Watch uprising on Mandalore, Satine's father is killed, Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon are sent to protect her, and they spend a year trying to reinstate her. To make up for the fact that literally nothing changes storywise, have this drawing of them that I drew specifically for you :D

Mortis. In total honesty, I haven't talked much about Mortis yet, but I did some thinking about it last night and. Here we go. So you remember how Bespin is a floating island? Well, Bespin is a floating island Epic-style. Mortis, however, is a floating island Odyssey-Proper-style, in that it moves from place to place and has no fixed coordinates. There are relatively few legends of it circulating around the Archipelago, but the Jedi are more knowledgeable about it- even if Anakin, Obi-Wan, and Ahsoka know nothing about it. In regards to Force properties, it's the same as the planet is in canon. After the events of the arc, it is never seen again.

High Fantasy Clone Wars on Heroforge Sneak Peeks

Eventually I will post all the finished pieces but FOR NOW! Have some ✨sneak peeks✨ (mostly... mostly the Clones. i had to do my boys first you know :] )

The ✨Disaster Duo✨ because I had to. There's a lot of detail in this one alone, even though it's a simpler piece, so I'm really proud of it

✨Ahsoka✨. Or, at least, her face. Because it's a High Fantasy now, there aren't really... aliens... so I'm adapting the various races into different cultures scattered across the kingdom far, far away, which explains her facepaint and headscarf. (I might make a public Google Doc so i can get all the information in one place, because the few Togruta headcanons I have I find very interesting :D )

✨Fives✨ who... isn't perfectly canonically accurate but you gotta work with what you've got in Heroforge. And I am very proud of him. And he is one of my favorite Clones. So there. Also he has a flail because I think he deserves one (actually, all the Clones fight with a different weapon in this series! it's really time-consuming to fiddle with but it's been fun thinking about who would wield what :D )

And uh... here's Waxer, who I'm putting for funsies because Heroforge wierdly distorted his face when I copied him from the original Clone model (because I took a page out of the kaminoans' book and made a single Clone model and I keep copying that to make each new Clone, so I can ensure their faces are identical) and while he still looks like the rest of them, his expression made me CACKLE. So. ✨Waxer.✨

Anyway, let me know what you think! And feel free to ask questions because I LOVE to answer them! I'm going to post actual pictures eventually, don't worry, I'm just waiting to finish the Clones because I want to do a side-by-side comparison of each one so you can see their similarities and differences. Guys. Here it is. The post that started it all. I can't believe this AU is a year old, or that even in a year it's been so fleshed out and has grown into something I couldn't even conceive of when I first started that Heroforge set.

Thank you to everyone who's been so supportive and kind over the year course of my silly little project, and thank you most especially to @whyoneartheven, @majorproblems77, and @seeking-elsewhither, who have not only been huge fans of this since they found out about it, but have also helped me to actually flesh out the world of the Galactic Archipelago. None of this would be possible without you guys. I can't thank you enough :)

So! In celebration of the anniversary, I'm opening up the ask box (you can find it at @high-fantasy-sw) for drawing requests, worldbuilding questions, ramblings, really anything you can think of. Edit: WAIT I FORGOT TO POST THE NOTES

His armor is the closest of CF99's to the reg armor he wore as a member of the 501st. I don't know what this means for the reg armor cause I keep changing it's design every few months but you know what. We'll cross that bridge when we get to it.

He keeps his ARC Legionary pauldrons because one does not simply stop being an ARC Legionary after one is exploded, half-necromanced, and rescued from Islands Of Death (tm). He also keeps his handprint because why did you take it away from him The Bad Batch Design Team

His right arm (scomp) and legs are completely skeletonized from the mid-upper-arm and mid-thigh down. So basically everything below the elbow and knees. He does hate having to look at them so his legs are pretty heavily-armored, but his arm, because the necromancy that holds it together is slightly different than the necromancy that does his legs (I'll explain this in a second) can't hold armor because the Death Magic (tm) corrodes right through it and is therefore usually uncovered. For entirely unrelated reasons, he goes barefoot and doesn't wear sabatons, as you can kind of see here (it's cause all the little bones kept getting stuck in the hinges, and even when he tried to wear Ye Olde Socks, they'd get. Stuck on the socks instead.)

His arm itself actually holds the capacity to Necromance, because how else was he supposed to be used as a human conduit for The Evils. As you can see in his portrait. Anyway. So I took a little bit of creative license in the reference because there usually isn't that sick-green magic swirling around it, only when he is actually Being A Necromancer (which have i mentioned he hates). However. Even when he is not actively engaged in necromancy, since his arm itself is held together by this more potent kind of magic, it'll still seep a kind of what I'll call passive necromancy all the same- this is what keeps corroding his arm armor. What this does not mean is that he kills or corrodes everything he touches- it's only when he touches it for an extended period of time- like, an hour or more of unbroken contact.

His headpiece was given to him during his time on Skako Minor. He hates it (like he hates his skeleton-ness) but he wears it because it helps keep his necromancer-abilities in check- meaning, he can regulate when he wants to use the full extent of his arm. When he's not wearing it, it's constantly necromancing all the time and can't really stop it. This makes Tantiss A Fun Time For Him (it doesn't fit right under helmets that are not his custom helmet, so he can't wear it undercover, which means that the whole time he's trying to be undercover on Tantiss his arm keeps melting his stolen armor, he has a throbbing necromancy-induced headache, his eyes are glowing through the visor of his stormtrooper helmet, and he has to watch how much he speaks lest people say to him, "Hey why do you sound like you're speaking with the multitudinous voices of the dead?")

Small Little Details For Funsies:

The skull on his chestplate can be found on the left medallion of his pauldrons.

His kama has two layers. why? IDK but it looks cool. It's also after the style of his 501st kama.

His belt buckle has a 99 on it. Because I couldn't figure out what to put there.
