New character who dis! Lore/design aspects after the break

He’s my new grouchy side kick for a store I had to work on for my animation class. The idea is that he used to run this big corporation and got kicked out and forced to guide people they kidnap or isekai to other places. (It’s a whole thing with the “company”). His memory is wiped and he has no idea who he was before he was stationed with the main character. He still holds his normal attitude though and he is very strict about keeping on task. Which conflicts with main character as they where whisked away against there will and they don’t care what they have to or are supposed to do. There’s a lot going on in the general idea and it’s really convoluted but that’s the basic gist for my new character. I was super original with his name and call him The Manger

The difference between a Nativity scene in a Christian vs atheist household

My Christian co-worker: Yeah, the kids decided baby Jesus should ride the camel and we had to have a talk about how we don’t play with the Nativity scene and show it respect. :P

My mom: Omg, let’s switch Jesus for Baby Yoda this year! xD

Context:

Since Brazilians are Latinos, a big part of Christmas decoration is the Nativity scene (it doesn’t matter if you’re religious or not – Nativity scenes are just part of the decoration, just like how in North America being Pagan has nothing to do with whether you put up wreaths).

Because my mom and I are lazy (and atheist), instead of putting up our whole mini nativity, we usually only put up the large manger my paternal grandma gave me when I was 5 back when she was trying to turn me Christian. 

Whitest-Middle-Eastern-Ever Baby Jesus is kept in a drawer awaiting his birthday.

Today my mom came up to me and was like “I can’t be trusted with the Christmas presents. Help.” and gave me a present early.

It was a little plastic Baby Yoda wrapped up in a blankie. She gave it to me because I’d been rambling to her about The Mandalorian (and Baby Yoda in particular) all day.

Seconds after I opened it she goes “*GASP* I’ve just had the most heretic idea.”

The rest, as they say, is history.

Only 3 days left till Christmas 2020 and 10 days left till New Years 2021. Therefore, let us get ready to make room in our hearts, making it a stable and putting a manger in it. That way, we are ready for The Messiah to come in and Rest in us. That is where the humble shepherds can enter and the well respected can leave a treasure of wisdom that comes from God.
