Is it bad Im still stuck in that damn restaurant???💔📑🖊️🩶
its SO interesting that Taylor started the Eras tour with Miss Americana and the Heartbreak Prince, and ended with the Manuscript, whilst burning the house down, with queer as fuck colours splashed across her stage, whilst gaining the key to win the war, and all thats left is the story...

Listening to The Manuscript on repeat 🥲
The story isn't mine anymore.
recently I've been thinking about ttpd again and about how neither the final song of the standard edition or the anthology are about the heartbreak that's unraveling in the album and more about how even if she gets hurt SHE WILL ALWAYS HAVE HER ART AND HER PEN AND SHE WILL ALWAYS BE TAYLOR SWIFT!!! And no man will ever be the thing that defines her
with Clara Bow it's probably pretty obvious because it's mainly about how the industry treats women but The Manuscript IS about heartbreak but in a very distanced way (she doesn't even speak in first person for most of the song) and NOT about the current heartbreak (it's more about how making art helps your process and transform your pain until it doesn't hurt you anymore, it's her actively writing herself out of the heartbreaks)... In the end, the story of the heartbreak isn't HERS anymore, it belongs to all the people connecting with her music. It's also a very beautiful way of letting go of all the past heartbreaks (in a more subtle way than for example daylight which I ADORE but this is less in your face LOOK I'M FINE NOW)
