UNRELIABLE NARRATORS; SIDE B
The Narrators (Ever After High) vs. Louis De Pointe Du Lac (Interview with the Vampire)
The Narrators
Louis De Pointe Du Lac
The Narrators Propaganda:
THOSE FUCKERS ARE SO SHIFTY THEY JUST SIT THERE AND LET SHITTY STUFF HAPPEN LIKE THEY SAY ITS SUPPOSED TO AND THEY SAY THEY CANT DO ANYTHING BUT THEN THEIR DAUGHTER BREAKS THE RULES TO HELP THE MAIN CHARACTER AND THEY LITEEALLY CPYLDVE DONE THAT AT ANY POINT?? BUT CHOSE NOT TO??
Louis De Pointe Du Lac Propaganda:
It depends on if we're talking about the books or the show but in the second book Lestat (narrator of second book) claims that Louis (narrator of first book) lied about a lot of stuff although to be honest it was mostly just Anne Rice (author) retconning lol. However in the 2022 show he is pretty explicitly unreliable; he changes a lot of facts about the original story to make himself look better/ stronger (i.e. claiming that he mercilessly killed Lestat when he likely didn't and wept over Lestat's dead body). Hopefully someone else submitted him too with better propaganda lol
he regularly lies about his relationship with different people, makes himself look better. I'm not very good at this part i really hope someone else submits him.
made a journalist very angy at him for lying about killing his abusive boyfriend when he actually purposefully kept him alive. was it raining louis
He just hates his ex husband so much at the moment he narrates the story that he turns him into a monster. Then there's the book from said ex point of view and it's really fucking funny
Sighs,,,,

AYOOO ANOTHER EAH LOVER!! Glad to see this fandom isn't dying anytime soon. Loved your EAH Headcanons! Could you possibly share some more, more specifically about The Narrators?
The Narrators:
The only reason Brooke is still allowed to narrate is that only two people can actually hear her try to change the story
Maddie still narrates from time to time (after A Wonderlandiful World) and nobody stops her because she's just trying to make sure her friends have goo days.
the Narrator (original, male- imma can him NM) has been around since the beginning of stories
the Narrator (female-NF) has been around only as long as the Storybook of Legends
They take shifts on who gets to Narrate what
If they had physical forms that would look like giant blobs that are constantly chaining shape. They would look different for everybody, and every story.
Brooke is the only narrator that can control her physical form to be consistent for everyone
The Narrators (all) actively try to keep Grimm (Milton) from having too much power by making subtle changes to the system
NM can see the glimpses of the future, but only if it endangers the Narrators.
Despite having all this power, NM is still just a low level Narrator
The Narrators above him assigned him (and then NF and Brooke) to the Ever After world/ this version of the story book as a test run for them to get their own stories
The reason that Brooke isn't the only one there is because the Head Narrators forgot that Ever After was supposed to be a test, and think it's their actual story.
If they were people, NF would be allergic to latex, and foods that connect to that (avocado, banana etc.). NM doesn't like chocolate.
Brooke has a brownie obsession. She can't bake though.
Brooke likes to cause chaos when she narrates, and is nearly directly responsible for the day where everyone went through the day backwards (walking, talking and time wise.)
NF is the no nonsense one, and NM pretends he is.
NM enjoys chaos, hence he hasn't taken away Maddie's narration privileges (and ignores Kitty's occasional narrations). It's also why Brooke keeps getting to narrate
Maddie and Kitty can hear the narrators because NM got bored and started narrating their dreams when they first came to Ever After. He didn't think they could hear the narration until Maddie started talking to him, and then he couldn't stop it.
Milton and NF would get along for like four minutes before she destroys his self-esteem and basically erases him from existence
Milton would not survive if Brooke got hands on him.
NM barely tolerates Milton, but he's a professional, and he can ignore whiny old men
NM and NF would get married for tax benefits. And then they don't pay taxes.
All Narrators are obnoxiously, and inhumanely tall. I'm talking several feet taller than they should be at any moment in time
Watching the problems the characters have is fun for NF because she thinks that all their issues are so trivial compared to the Narrators issues.
Everyone who comes into contact with Maddie and Kitty when they narrate, or even when they talk about the Narrators have to deny their existence or they get hit with an existential crisis.
We're being watched? By who? We can't see them. What do you mean we're not real? etc. etc
Brooke hopes to get her own story to narrate one day.
The Narrators are an interesting bunch. Imagine how scary it would be to know that someone could change and control the way your life goes just by changing how the story goes.
Parallels:
Spoilers below!
The parallels between Armin and Samwell, the two narrarators of their stories.
Both got bullied for not being able to physically defend themselves.
Both only fight when they have to.
Both enjoy books, and literature.
Both find out a lot about the evils of their respective worlds. Armin with titans. Samwell with the white walkers.
Both fell in love with 'outside' women. Gilly and Annie. (Both women actually were viewed as 'the enemy.')
Sam and Armin both have a friend who defends them constantly and 100% trusts them. (Eren and Jon.)
Both are emotional. (Not in a bad way.)
Both were thrust into roles they didn't want, or desire. Sam with being a crow and Armin in being the new commander and colossal titan.
Both have unrelenting faith in their best friends. Jon and Eren. Samwell started the wheel turning to make Jon the Lord commander. Armin believes in Erens dream in creating a better world and destroying the titans.
Both are dreamers and considered 'soft' and 'weak.'
When in all actuality they're extremely needed in their respective roles.
Both have kind hearts and care deeply for their friends.
Both fell like cowards and useless compared to other counterparts of their stories.
Annnnnd. The both of them tell us the story of their worlds, and both have dreams of normalcy and freedom. Samwell strives to beat the white walkers and to learn more about them. Armin strives to beat the titans and gain true freedom beyond walls and barriers.
hi yes so i saw someone post about the sexualities of the EAH characters and i wanted to add some to the mix since i noticed they weren’t there (also these will be fairly detailed because i said so):
male narrator: bisexual that had a drag phase in his twenties
female narrator: homophobic/ biphobic/ transphobic all the phobias; only got with the male narrator because she thought she could make him straight but he’s still bi and whoops! now they have a kid
speaking of their kid, Brooke: asexual, panromantic; sometimes gets sad since no one knows she exists (aside from Maddie and Kitty) so she can’t be in a relationship with anyone she likes, but she likes seeing the people she likes making their own stories
(i just got a really sad idea, oh shit....i should write that, or at least see if someone else has written it.)
