She's so beautiful 🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹
not to be dramatic here but the way that Gale shows no empathy for the miners in the nut and is solely focused on doing things for the good of the war and only stops to think because Katniss, the girl he loves, makes him reminds me a lot of Coriolanus & Lucy Gray.
man wants to have a clear set path to power and doesn’t care about the people he’s harming that could be innocent despite having been in the same situation himself and doesn’t stop to care until the girl he loves brings up the unfairness of it.
like Gale is the type of person to suggest the hunger games 😭
the nut
The thing i like about spamton is if you interpret his story as a trans allegory / theme
Its pertinent that its a story of failure
What he wants is taken from him, his ambitions are thwarted, his literal body is turned into a parody of his desire for freedom.
His whole everything is an ironic punishment that really resonates personally.
Its not that you dont get what you want, its that you do. Thats what really drives you mad.
Because once you know its a possibility, it is always just out of reach and the carrot is always dangling in front of you to be nibbled in controlled doses to keep you pacified and wanting
See I actually don't really like 'trans stories' where the transitioning is The Story. Cuz that has never been my story and it won't be for
who knows how long, a week? several years? and always at the mercy of others and systems beyond our comprehension. Always temporary
I like to see failures and non-starters. Miscalculations and slamming into glass walls. I don't know any other way to be trans!
