Here is another Classical Voice Acting Tribute, with Mr. Roddy McDowall, who was Dr. Cornelius in the original 'Planet of the Apes' series, and our Original Caesar in 'CONQUEST' & 'BATTLE for the Planet of the Apes', and also the Star for 'Fright Night(1985)', 'Class of 1984', & 'That Darn Cat!'. But he was the Voice Behind Ratty in the Rankin/Bass 'Wind in the Willows', Samwise Gamgee in 'the Return of the King', the Mad Hatter in 'Batman: the Animated Series', & Franz/Fritz in 'the Nutcracker Fantasy'. Honorable Mentions: the Narrator & All Male Voices for Chuck Jones' 'Mowgli's Brothers' & 'the White Seal'

i was seething about The Nutcracker Fantasy(as you do) the other day and I realized it was kind of like the ultimate collision of queer-coded villains and heteronormative heroes but taken to heteronormalcy’s terrifying conclusion

bc Morphia is essentially three lesbians who love each other so much that they’ve fused steven universe style, and they’re raising a baby.  and Franz and Clara are straight but Franz is like 26 and Clara is like 13 and they keep talking about how much they’re in love with each other MAKE IT STOP PLEASE

not to mention the only ‘comedic’ scene we get of the fantasy humans in this world is just a cavalcade of racism
