Summary
"I’ve been possessed, Reggie has been possessed, Julie was brought back to life and possessed and the Clave didn’t think to stop by. Lilith was walking around and they were just calling us in to talk," Luke said.
“They wouldn’t show up just because we have more demons than usual…” Flynn trailed off.
“Exactly,” he said, gesturing at her.
“We’re not-” Julie sighed, a hand going through her hair as she paced around the room. She’d barely woken up and already her whole day was going off the rails. Considering how her life had been lately it wasn’t exactly shocking. But still… “We’re not asking the right question.”
“What do you mean?” Flynn asked.
“If there is a warlock involved here they summoned Asmodeus, they’ve been summoning demons because they know they’ll come for me,” she said, turning to look at them. “They know. And the only other person who knows is Caleb. What we should be asking here is-”
“-how is Caleb talking to the outside world,” Flynn finished for her.
“Yes,” she said. “Because the Clave suddenly taking residence here at the same time Caleb decided to blackmail us is way too big of a coincidence.”

“Julie, you can’t-” Reggie stopped, trying to find the right words to reason with her. Caleb doubted Julie wanted to be reasoned with. “You can’t work with him. You certainly can’t trust him! If we focus on the plan-”

Willie opened the door, not wasting a second to check who was in today. It was too early for the place to be packed anyway. Dante followed after him without a word.
“Go to the office,” he said, making a detour for the bar where Leah was staring at them just as Dante disappeared.
“What the-”
“You didn’t see me, you didn’t see Dante, you actually haven’t seen Dante in days, no clue where he could be,” he cut her off.
Leah stared back at him for a second longer, still drying a glass with a towel in her hand. “Okay,” she said slowly. “I have a few questions.”
“The world is on fire,” he said without really elaborating. “Take it as an answer to everything.”

“We’ve called in reinforcements in case it gets out of hand,” Alex tried to reassure him. “He’s not getting away this time. You can get him and go back, we’ll deal with the aftermath.”
And that was apparently the wrong thing to say because Matt’s expression once again turned towards anger rather than relief. “What?”
“You need to get the warlock, right?” Alex was unsure of where this conversation was going, but he couldn’t step back now. “We’ll catch him and you can take him back. You don’t have to stay for the demons too.”
“The same demons you just said you called reinforcements for?” Matt said, now starting to get angry again. “Are you kidding me? No, seriously. Why do you keep doing this?”
“Doing what?” Alex said, desperately wanting answers. Or maybe just one. Just a confirmation that he hadn’t done something unforgivable.
“You keep getting in the way!” Matt nearly shouted, catching Alex off guard.

Summary
What was maybe more concerning was that Alex was definitely not ready and by the way he was pacing he didn’t exactly seem eager to get ready either.
“Don’t tell me you got cold feet,” Luke said as Reggie closed the door behind them. Julie was leaning against the wall on the other side, also definitely not in the same dress he’d seen her before. Had they all abandoned the idea of a wedding?
“You didn’t tell him?” Julie pushed herself off, coming closer.
“I tried!” Reggie defended himself. “But I can guarantee you, Alex wants to get married,” he added to Luke.
“He doesn’t look ready.”
“Well, that’s not our Alex, so don’t worry about that,” Reggie said.
I hate writing fight scenes and I was stuck in the last one for so long but I finally finished it and now it's just writing the aftermath which is my jam, so the goal is to upload this last chapter until Wednesday. Let's all hope I'll make it😅 Here is a little part from the first ever Dante's pov because you've been waiting for the ending of this fic for a while and I wanted to give you something:
“This was a mistake,” Dante sighed as he opened another door to find yet another cluttered room he’d eventually have to clean.
“You’re doing the world a favor,” Fuego said as he came over from the room next door, reading over a spell book. Most of Caleb’s stuff had disappeared throughout the years, though Dante was pretty sure it was only weeks after his incarceration that anything valuable related to magic had changed ownership.
“What has the world ever done for me?” Dante retorted, still staring at the dust covered mess in front of him.
“Most recently? Gave you the ability to not burst into flames at the sight of the sun,” Fuego said as he closed the book and stared back at him with a smirk on his face.
