I think that the fact that some part of Scott recognized that he lost his humanity during the Phoenix 5 era really attests to how much he has normally which makes “THE PASSION OF SCOTT SUMMERS” all that more important.

Maybe that’s just me though.

I find this era of him really important.

since the phoenix's origins lie in Egyptian beliefs, how fucked up is it that there has never been an Egyptian Phoenix Force host in marvel? even the ancient phoenix user from avenger 10,000 bc was a white red-head

Lmfao, for that matter the Phoenix is a racist ass cosmic entity... or the goddamn writers, the force has never touched a mutant of color, not once, one universe had Quentin Quire wield it, now a future one has Wolverine wield it, in the end of the world and time itself.

And the ancient Phoenix force user? Also white for no reason at all, like white people hadn’t even learned to wash their asses and this white demon already was its host. The ability of the Phoenix is to bond with any Omega Level mutant, Grey’s DNA carriers and also a family of the Shiar which I can’t remember for shit, and yet, the ways she’s written is always either to obscure women and demonize them for having too much power, while also writing them as incapable of wielding it, and to straight up glorify some fucking man, like Wolverine (I love Jason Aaron, but he could have chosen anyone, Storm herself, but only white people survive till the end of the world apparently) and Quentin Quire, who have been presented as unbothered by it and in control of the force.

It’s pathetic, and I’m honestly done with white men writing the X-Men, it’s like little kids playing with 10+ toys.
