Wow FDM printers are so fucking convenient compared to what I'm used to with resin printing. Kels went halfsies with me on the new centauri carbon bc the specs are insane for that price (comparable FDM printers are probably double this, so they're obviously selling at a loss and making up for it with accessories and filament).
The fact you can just print out of the box with none of the usual shit that has made me nervous about splurging on an FDM printer for years is also wonderful. Auto bed leveling, my angel... Just the lack of post work (washing&curing) and the lack of TOXIC FUMES (I'm using PLA), paired with general usability is sweet. If you've ever considered getting one, this is a really beginner friendly printer. That said: a three hundred dollar machine is not worth it if you're not going to use it. If you can find more than thirty things on thingiverse for free that you'd ACTUALLY use or want, not just think are cool, then it's a great investment. But also you want to look up different filament types (PLA is biodegradable and cheap, but not very strong and a hot day in the sun will melt/warp/break anything you print!!)
