Impotently watching football updates, desperately hoping Norwich score at least, ooh, nine goals against Chelsea to secure a better chance of not-getting-relegated, even though the logic part of my brain knows that we thoroughly deserve to go down after a shoddy season. Frustrating, although one should probably expect after being hitched to this particular bandwagon since teenagehood.
Whilst the Canaries do...whatever it is they do on the pitch nowadays...I'm beavering away on A Project(TM) which I hope will give me a better platform to write for/on. Still got some way to go yet, and I have to translate the extensive knowledge that my partner has into something decent (and by that I mean the execution is all on me. I have a good advisor, I just need to take the advice and do the right/write [heh] thing with it). It's kept me out of mischief today, at least.
Comic update: Batwoman Annual was a crashing disappointment. As goddamn-batwoman mentioned and I totally agree with, the characters were just...off. Alice lost all her quirky Wonderland-inspired oddities (and why wasn't she speaking in all Alice in Wonderland quotes? That was pretty fricken important before!), Kate was constantly and inexplicably startled by occurrences, the Director Bones/Jake's ma daddeh plot was thrown in to the last few pages and resolved before Kate could say anything other than 'what?', and every single plot thread was resolved by piles of exposition crammed into the last two panels. And not nearly enough Maggie.* So very disappointing. I get that the situation was a difficult one to resolve, but condensing all the resolution into one issue was ill-advised. More breathing room needed, sadly.
Rambling post was rambling. I have a lot of words in me today, apparently.
* Yes I am biased because I think Maggie is the awesomest. Shh.
