Yes, because I totally have lore about the rafters and am not just rambling about them, pulling lore from thin air as I type, yep-
Similar to the Howlers, the rafters are a family group! They’re significantly smaller, however, and led by a sole matriarch. She’s getting on in years, and is currently grooming her eldest daughter to take her place; lots of potential mate prospects have recently been coming in and out of Riverward territory, which the Riverwardens are a bit nervous about…
The rafters and the Riverwardens have a long and strained history. While currently friendly under the reigns of Rhema Crookedstorm and Grand Dame Burrowdoll, the two were known to butt heads rather consistently over territory disputes and claims of the river and surrounding landmarks.
