THE LITTLE WINK. WHATS THE LITTLE WINK FOR.
death by chocolatee for rowdies?
Death By Chocolate: an indulgence/guilty pleasure headcanon.
Hmm, I’m not sure it would count a as a guilty pleasure headcanon? But I love to think of the rowdies just... having giant cuddle piles all the time. Tired? Cuddle pile. Stressed? Cuddle pile. Someone is sad? Cuddle pile. Happy? Cuddle pile. Every reason they can find for a cuddle pile is wholeheartedly taken up on. Martin has to be pulled into them grumbling all the way but he loves them just as much as the rest of them do, and he’d kill anyone who tried to make any of them feel bad about it.

"we ain't got nowhere else to be but here for you" is just so ,,, sweet ,,, because amanda is just * not used * to anyone sticking around because they want to ??? like ,,, todd, he only stuck around because he had to, and he hurt her * s o * badly, and she doesn't want to have anyone need her, or even want her because she doesn't want to get hurt. but the rowdies just waltz right in and just dkhkshgkjhdkjghkj, you know? aRGHHHHHHHHHHHHH please ,,, martin teaching her how to bash up her first cop car....
i dont know if someone discussed this already probably but in 1x05, when Riggins found and met the rowdies he said a series of things showing that he knows them pretty well (or ‘’Knows’’). he said -
to cross: “kiss your mother with that mouth?” (it’s a general phrase but the way he said it sounds like he literally meant his mother, like he knew her, like he knew it was the weak spot and used her as a way to control/bring him down)
to gripps: “your family misses you gripps” (again, sounded manipulative, nothing new)
to vogel: “that’s really tough vogel, you sound like a real grown-up” (again, infantilizing as a means of controlling; using ‘care’ to manipulate in a “i know better just listen to me and do as i, an adult, say” way) - after vogel's “what are we waiting for, it’s him, he’s the guy!”
with martin tho, the exchange was quite interesting.
in the beginning: “you should not be here. the rowdy 3 ain’t got no use for you” and “you dont tell us what to do no more”
then:
“you ain’t gonna put me and my rowdy boys back in no cages man”
“im trying to save your lives. it’s different this time”
“we’re not going back to no freak zoo!”
so, my point is,
i wonder what kind of relationship they had - both with riggins and at bw in general. when did bw get them? how old were they? if they had families why they’re on a road? maybe their parents/relatives gave them up to someone at bw? are their parents the same way/vampires or not or are they adopted? maybe they were one of the firsts so blackwing used them to showcase the bw project to some higher ups (’freak zoo’).
tldr im not saying that (aside from the ‘usual’ - experiments, tests, and all) the rowdies were sold out by their families and kept in cages and tortured to entertain the rich but im notnot saying it.
