I love the Same Faces and even though this was a lot more work than I initially thought, it was a lot of fun to work on. I also included larger images of my favorites from each set.

Backstage Interview #4: The Same Faces
Iyami: We’ve finally reached - thank Akatsuka-sensei - the last of these backstage interviews! [ forced laughter ] Oh, just kidding, just kidding! Though this last interview is going to be the toughest one for me yet, because I’m up against those horrible sextuplets who have haunted my existence ever since they were born! [ louder, more desperate forced laughter ] Ahh, just kidding! It’s the band that’s for some reason made Group of the Year, I don’t know why, has the whole country gone mad? Anyhow, they call themselves The Same Faces!
Osomatsu: Hey! I’m Osomatsu, the powerful and dynamic lead singer. I’m pretty much the only one that matters!
Karamatsu: I’m Karamatsu, and I offer my life to you through every note I play. Please, accept my blood, sweat, and tears!
Choromatsu: I’m Choromatsu, I play electric organ and guitar on occasions, but I do a lot more behind the scenes!
Ichimatsu: I play the bass.
Jyushimatsu: I’m Jyushimatsu! I play the drums! They don’t let me sing a lot. I’m not very good at it.
Todomatsu: I’m Todomatsu, and I’m a lead singer, too. But I also play percussion, so at least I’m useful!
I probably have brain damage but I have never laughed this hard in front of a painting before
I'm so excited to hear you on radio, karamatsu! I was wondering if you could give some advice on getting over being anxious so you can be yourself. And maybe play a song about best friends, for me and my best friend! You're my favorite matsu, I love your sense of flair. I hope you have fun today at the studio! --May
You can’t be as excited as I am to be here. I’ve always wanted to do this!
The stage has always called to me. My soul is that of the performer! So anxiety has always been one of my demons. It likes to torment me and tell me that everyone is going to hate me and that I will mess up. Sadly, I cannot give you any good advice except that it has lessened as I have had more and more experience performing. The more you experience, the more you do, the less you feel unprepared for! Life won’t wait until you’re ready for it, so dive into it like the majestic swan I know you are!
As far as a song about friendship, what better than a song that demonstrates how the presence of a friend will calm even the most terrified beating heart? One reason I could never go solo is because my more anxious brothers depend upon me to absorb the attention that they don’t want on stage!
But I will stand by them! Even when they send me rude anonymous letters, I will stand by them!
Step 1: Do not fall in love with Karamatsu. ...Failed Step 1.
Oh no, my precious fan! No matter what I do, you can’t resist me, and for that I have caused you to fail!
At the very least … I haven’t caused you any pain, I hope.
Osomatsu, hey! Lipstick anon from your birthday bash, remember me? I wanted to ask how exactly you found your groove that makes you move like you do. All six of you have your own thing when it comes to shaking it, but yours is out there in the best of ways. I'm gonna match your clothes at this rate.
Oh, you bet I remember you! I wore that print like a badge of pride all night!
And I’d wear it again anytime you’re ready, babe.
It’s funny you ask, because … I think my groove found me. The reason I can dance so loose and groovy is because I don’t worry about it. I don’t watch my feet or count steps or anything. I do what I feel and I guess I make it look pretty good. The dancers that usually catch my eye are the ones who are loosened up and not trying to do a certain trendy dance, they’re just doing their own thing and it’s outta sight.
Like I said before, I was pretty much born like this. It’s a gift.
