The only unused idea left from my latest animation was the chess wizard scene, so I turned it into the first two pages of this piece. The rest was just me messing around with different brushes and kinda getting fascinated in doing an anatomical half-head study.

I feel like so much of the thing hinges on the relationship between Fuchs and Mac because it really tells the audience why we should trust Mac. When Fuchs finds Blair’s notes, it would’ve made far more sense to go to one of the other men with a background in science (Bennings or Norris) or even the manager Garry, but instead he goes to Mac. It’s such a good way to emphasize Mac’s leadership, the way Fuchs implicitly trusts him.

Idk I love this movie. Also they should kiss because their chemistry is WILD.

Hello, since Valentine’s Day is coming up can you write a the thing 1982 Valentine’s Day fanfic with all the characters plz?

Palmer walked around base with a box of those pastel candy hearts dumping some on everyone’s desk, Nauls was making everyone’s favorite meal, Clark was setting flowers up for everyone, Childs was setting out chocolates. MacReady was getting out the good, expensive liquor. The boys loved the holidays and Valentines Day was no exception.

Blair and Norris had decorated the base while Bennings, Fuchs and Cooper did extra chores and such so everyone could meet up again in the lounge room where they would all drink, play music (playlist made by Windows) and just have a great night eating candy and having a good time together.

“I wonder if we have any lovers in base.” MacReady asked once everyone was in the lounge eating. Bennings and Fuchs held up entwined hands and Norris and Cooper did the same.

“Oh, we’ll shit boys” MacReady hummed sipping his whiskey. He didn’t know a lot of the men were already dating.

“My woman’s at home still.” Childs chimes in, looking up from his plate of food.

“I don’t really need anyone yet. The dogs are enough.” Clark answers with a shrug.

“I’m not interested in no one yet either.” Nauls shrugs

“My wife is at home too. That leaves Windows and Palmer.” Blair’s points out. The whole table shifts to look at the two men. Palmer turns to Windows, grinning like a cat.

“We’ll, I know I like someone but he’s a pussy. How about you, Win-“ the stoner was cut off by Windows pulling him in by his shirt collar and planting a kiss on his lips.

“There we go, I guess.” Palmer breathed once Windows quickly broke the kiss and started chugging his drink.
