Gotham fanfiction & @gothambingo :

This fanfiction was inspired by my friend @jeromeclarke107 . She said she liked the way I was writing Jim and Harvey's dynamic so much that she ended up shipping them. x) It is important to note that the fanfiction she was referring to is one in which they discuss Jim's relationship with Oswald. Gordlock was not mentioned AT ALL in this, but... 🙄

Long story short, I ended up writing a short Gordlock smut One Shot for her. 🫣 Yes, I became that person who writes spicy scenarios between imaginary characters for her friend. 😭

I actually started this in March, edited it a bit, abandoned it, then picked it up again recently.

Thank you again to my friend @jeromeclarke107 who was originally editing it with me. And thanks for being the reason this fanfiction exists. 💞

He raised his head to look at his colleague and met Harvey’s hopeful gaze.

The older detective nodded towards the sheets of paper scattered across his desk and asked, “Would it help me out of this?”

His partner hummed for a second—pretending to consider the possibility—and ultimately shook his head.

“Worth a shot,” Harvey sighed, defeated. “You know I love spending time with you, but this may be my breaking point,” he lamented, averting his eyes.

“It’s paperwork,” Jim deadpanned.

Gotham imagine:

Ed has a new hobby: he spends hours completing jigsaw puzzles of cute penguins in different situations — mostly realistic mammals in the snow. He gets each of them framed and offers them to Oswald.

The mobster hangs a few in their bedroom, but since Ed assembles so many of them, Oswald needs to store them in another room. He says this bothers him because it take up unnecessary space in the mansion...but he secretly loves it and cherishes every single one of them.

When Ed is away on his own personal adventures, Oswald finds himself going through the puzzles and thinking of his lover... 💚💜

P.S.: Oswald gifts Ed a customised jigsaw on his birthday: it's a penguin wearing a monocle, surrounded by green questions marks falling from the sky as if they were little snow flakes. 🥹

Of course Jim always dismisses him gently, using work as an excuse...

But recently, that pattern has worsened!

Oswald came every single day this week, and on this Friday morning, like clockwork, the little bird comes limping into the station in search of his favorite policeman.

As per usual, they start exchanging courtesies that ultimately lead to Oswald casually asking Jim out.

"Jim's got plans tonight," Harvey asserts, slipping an arm around his partner's waist.

The younger detective freezes in place.

Oswald falls completely silent.

A police officer drops his donut.

Another one spits out his coffee.

Ed, who was just passing by, trips on his own feet.

There were worse ways of coming out.
