Who’s got a box of tissues??? Because I need them! This book hit all the of the right buttons for me. It had SO. MUCH. ANGST!! It was filled with backstories, unrequited love, anger and hurt. It was filled with family drama and hilarious one-liners. This was such a beautifully unfolding story and someone needs to tell TJ Klune that he can’t come after my heart like that without a little warning first! Because, holy shit, did this book have ALL the feels.
Ravensong had such an intense vibe to it. And I’m kind of glad we got to see Gorgo’s perspective on the world in this. He can be such an asshole to everyone, but that’s just a front to cover up his soft feelings. I personally love his grumpyness and how literally everyone sees right through it. My heart also hurts a little for Mark and Gordo’s relationship, but I’m so happy for them too.
Now, on to the Bennett boys! I absolutely adore the sibling relationship that we got to see between Kelly and Carter. They are so cute! I just want more of them being brothers and not having to deal with all the shit that’s happened. And...um...the whole Timberwolf situation??Ahhhh! I can’t wait to see how that plays out 😊. The shop boys deserve some love too! The flashbacks, good god 😂. They were so stinkin’ funny as kids. Can I get a short story with them and Gordo as kids, please? Seriously, that was some good stuff.
All in all, this book was fantastic! The one thing you really need to know before starting this book is that it will come after your feelings with a vengeance, but in a good way. It’s intense and will leave you with a craving for the next book. I’ve fallen in love with these characters and the series. I hope you give it a chance to wiggle it’s way into your heart too. This book gets a solid five out of five stars!
