I've never been very into poetry. I guess it helps having even the slimmest interest in it as I must adapt to it in my studies. However, coming from a background of coal miners in North East England, travelling to and from the North East so many times really makes you think and feel things in a poetic fashion.

I am fortunate in a way to have family so far away so as I am able to have an easy get away from home but so much that nowadays, as I prefer the area, the North East of England feels more like home than where I live. Don't be too quick to judge, origin has a lot to do with it. I think I was supposed to grow up there. Instead, I moved away when I was early in my youth and now I am old enough to go back home when I feel sad or happy, all the emotions, I just love it there.

Northumberland will always be special to me and my family. What is the point here? Honestly, I'm on the bus to Northumberland and I'm bored so this acts as a good pass time 👌
