when I sead that because of the vails influence, the planets flora and fauna both would rapidly mutate/evolve. And while browsing tumblr a came across art by rural yokel. The first image could be a 3’ed generation human when the vail was at its most active. The second image reminds me of a bog

Idk if I’ve sead this before but when the vail engulfed the earth the first 140 years war its most active, meaning in the current era you wouldn’t have to wary about (most) plant trying to make your head rupture.

what is the Vail ?

In the setting of the world I’m making thare is this “force” that covers the earth. It is settled in the earths thermosphere (part of the atmosphere). It has been dubbed the vail.

It engulfed the earth around the 2040’s. And over several months anything that ran on electricity ceased to function in any capacity. As you would expect this fucked everything up. City went dark, production chains hulted leaving many to raid stores and farms, governments failed at every turn in basically everything you could think of a government should do, nukes went off where ever they were cosing nuclear pollution on a nearly planetary scale. Both flora and fauna(including humans) started to rapidly mutate to there environment, like evolution but in a much much shorter time.

Not only do the people of the vail have to deal with weird shit in the present, but do to portals that connect throughout time things that have been long dead walk this world again.

notice first by rural areas like strange shrill noises in the night similar to the call of barn owls, or farm animals and pets go missing.
