It's been very different having a daughter, and suddenly there are a lot of things language wise that I notice that I say. For instance, she'll bump into the chair, and apologize. And I'm like no no, we don't need to - don't say sorry, you didn't do anything wrong! And I realize that it must be reflective somehow of my behavior or things that she obviously sees. So we've started doing these mantras with her recently where we say "I'm strong" and she'll say "I'm fierce!", "I'm dependent!" - she says dependent cause she can't say independent, and were like "No, say independent!"
