So like theee marauders are a group of four friends, one of them being Harry Potter's canonical dad (James), but also our fandom of course extends to the other characters from their era (aka the marauders era, meaning them in their school years usually)
The fandom is built on the scraps of information provided in the HP series and also like 90% headcanons at this point. Also they're all pretty much gay, oftentimes headcanoned as trans and as different nationalities than they canonically are (we all hate jkr and knowing her, she'd probably have an aneurysm learning about what we've done to her characters lolol) (wooOoOhh diversityYyYyy sooo scaAryyy amiright)
We've even taken characters that have been mentioned like once or twice somewhere and made up their entire personalities and looks and stuff
Canon is a suggestion at best here and I think it's beautiful
