Heyy! I was wondering, when do you think Madara fell in love with Hashirama in canon? If we assume that he definitely did at some point.
Hiya! Madara falling in love with Hashirama is an assumption I will always make 😂
If I had to pick a specific moment, I think it would be the one on the mountain when Hashirama tells him the village is his family. I think I've either said or put this in a fic, but imo Hashirama set out to build Konoha for Madara (not just for him, but Madara was definitely at the front of his mind). As adults, the village is something of an unintentional dowry. A family, a home, a place for Madara to look after- Hashirama doesn't necessarily get Madara, but he does get that Madara needs not to feel isolated
And I think Madara would feel the significance of the gift he's given. Naming Konoha isn't just an honor- it's a choice that will always be his. People will know it was Uchiha Madara who gave Konoha its name. Konoha isn't just brothers and sisters for him; it's an entire village that's connected to him now and after he dies. Hashirama gave Madara their dream
If any moment would bring Madara a rush of love, Hashirama making a point of setting aside their years of fighting and giving the future to Madara would be it
