chain of thorns i.e. predicting whether and how heavenly fire is once again going to be the plot device to save the day
We are all the pieces of what we remember. We hold in ourselves the hopes and fears of those who love us. As long as there is love and memory, there is no true loss.
Cassandra Clare, City of Heavenly Fire (The Mortal Instruments)
Yes I cannot believe that damn family tree still haunts me but here is the compilation of all the known discrepancies in the family tree (thus far)
Feel free to add more if I missed something
Contains spoilers for Chain of Gold
List of main villains in TSC:
TMI: a Shadowhunter obsessed with ridding the world of Downworlders and his son with demon blood who wanted to burn the world down
TID: a human who wanted revenge against Shadowhunters because they killed his adopted parents
TDA: a warlock wanting revenge against the Blackthorns because their ancestors killed his lover; the said half-insane, resurrected Shadowhunter lover who hated Shadowhunters because they killed her; a Fae King and a bunch of bigoted racist Shadowhunters with no moral codes.
So basically 1) there’s a whole lot of fighting against not-demons for a race whose primary purpose is to fight against demons and 2) Most of the villains are the results of Shadowhunters making mistakes (except perhaps the Unseelie King)
Honestly would be more surprised if either TLH or TWP features an actual demon (or a demonic force, because TLH villain was “more a force” according to Cassie) as the main villain at this point.
But for real tho I want a demon villain is it too much to ask
TSC D&D Alignment Chart

Lawful Evil: Zara Dearborn
Neutral Evil: Axel Mortmain
Chaotic Evil: Sebastian Morgenstern
Feel free to make your own (And I am pretty sure someone has already done this before)
Letters to the lost (on Wattpad) https://www.wattpad.com/story/371330224-letters-to-the-lost?utm_source=web&utm_medium=tumblr&utm_content=share_myworks&wp_uname=Lau_Herondale Today is June 19th. (When I published this, it was.) The day we remember Will Herondale. After Will's death, everyone wrote a letter to him. The letters are not really long and they are a bit sad, I don't expect people to really read this. I just had the idea, and decide to write it. Ave atque vale Gwilym Owain Herondale Neither the cover nor the characters are mine. All rights to Cassandra Clare.
I know this is very random, but I don’t get many reads, because on Wattpad it’s really difficult to get noticed, and on tumblr, people will actually see this.
Vengeance Wanted (on Wattpad) https://www.wattpad.com/story/373048132-vengeance-wanted?e
One night, Will has disappeared. Nobody knows where he is. Tessa is poisoned, and while Cecily and Gabriel are searching for Will, Cecily loses her memory. Will Jem be able to find a remedy for everyone? All rights to Cassandra Clare, and the cover is not mine
Advice: Read The Infernal Devices before reading the second half of TMI.
