“You’re perfect” (Van)

She was hot, sweaty, and tired. Her hair was in disarray, and if she had had any makeup on, it was long gone. Her voice was exhausted, and she was sure that she had called her husband every name and insult that she knew, and was pretty sure that she had made up a few new ones as well. 

She turned tired eyes up at her husband, although there was an exhausted smile on her face. “...I doubt I’m perfect,” she said, weariness in her voice, “...especially now. But thank you...”

She looked up as movement caught her eye, and a soft bundle was placed into her arms. She looked down at the bundle, smiling softly at the little face and head that peeked up out of it, the tiny yawn that came from in, the eyes that were starting to blink open. She smiled down at their son. “But this? This is perfect. Hello, little one. Welcome to the world.”

“Im fine, I’m not that cold really anyways..”

Mary said, flashing Vanderwood a bit of a wary smile as she casually approached. Gently placing her hands into her France’s hoodie pockets as she took the time to observe the night sky above them. A look of law and absolute adoration in her gaze as she observed each and every twinkling star within the night sky, “And to let you know, he did..” Mary admitted, “But it shouldn’t exactly matter if he did or not.” She added on a bit bluntly, closing her eyes for a moment to enjoy the atmosphere around the both of them. Mary’s smile becoming less wary and more comfortable as a natural but chilling cold rush of air seemed to fly past.

“You know I care about you too, so of course I would’ve came even if I wasn’t told too.”

It had been a moment, possibly even two before Golden hues began to peak out from her lidly prisons once more. The raven observing the night sky once again before finally a sigh seemed to gently escape from her, allowing her to - again - turn to Vanderwood. Making her way over and finally seating herself beside him, a hint of hesitence and possibly even worry mixing in with her aura. Mary was obviously a bit nervous to exactly start off with stuff like this..

“That was a bit of a fight you two had down there.. ” Mary commented, her golden gaze lifting from him, up to the stars as she found them a bit more physically pleasing at the moment before continuing on.

“What was that about? If I may ask..”

       The teen crawled back and hopped off the bed once Vanderwood woke up. It didn’t occur to his mind that he would probably be pestering the older with his tactics and he was pretty much too enthusiastic to bother even thinking about his own actions.

       “Yessir—“ he replied, walking up to the light switch, having forgotten to switch it on after walking into the other’s room. He did so now and looked back at Vanderwood for a brief moment then bolted out of the room and headed to the kitchen. He knew Vanderwood stored food from last night in the fridge for this occasion. He took out the package just for him and put it in the microwave.

       It would be his first training session and he wanted to be prepared. Luciel had yet to learn about the job he was getting into, not knowing what to expect. Ever since he moved in with the senior agent things have changed drastically. His daily schedule in particular. Mr. Vanderwood was strict but not to a degree that would demotivate Seven. If anything, the elder had patience with him. The redhead had yet to get to know him better and surely they’ve had plenty of time ahead. As ‘exciting’ as this sounded like right now, Luciel didn’t question the consequences of this job and trusted that V made the right choice for him.

That’s the first thing the mother felt the moment she stood before the agents. A sense of awareness and almost a tad bit of a natural over protectiveness coming over the albino as she glanced between the two; Her violet gaze shining with what seemed to be a warning towards the both of them despite the friendly smile upon her features. As if they were to mess up this interaction - they could possibly be punished for it, by her personally. This look especially went towards Seven for the moment, before naturally glancing towards her daughter, catching sight of the innocent child flashing them both a sweet smile as she seemed to somewhat cower behind her mother a tad after being addressed. Almost seemingly shy -! Possibly even sensing the tension that her mother had. Holding onto the skirt of her mother’s dress, Nari nodded. Her sapphire orbs going to the floor as she seemed to watch her shoes and how her feet seemed to make them move, finding them most interesting at the moment. “ mhm..!” She said politely, knowing better than to shy away from a question “ A lot of people seemed to come up to me and was super friendly.” Nari smiled gently after a moment, looking up from her current location before the look suddenly became a bit bitter, her expression almost matching her mother’s whenever the woman was serious or possibly even angry. The child huffing before suddenly gaining courage as she stepped away from her mother and the grip on her dress, the child placing her hands on her hips as she frowned. “But one of them was being really dumb!” She suddenly announced, placing her hands on her cheeks before shaking her head quite aggressively, “One of them said that they were going to pinch my cheeks!” She whined as she looked up at the brunette with big worrying sapphire hues, “ I don’t want cheeks to be pinched, Vandy!”

Much to her amusement, Min couldn’t help but chuckle softly at her daughter’s antics and quite straight forward way of addressing things. A loving smile creeping upon her features as she obviously found them both charming and adorable, which was expected much from Nari’s dismay. The woman silently seemed to watch the interaction happen from the background, observing both Seven and Vanderwood`s reaction before the smile quickly seemed to fade away at the sight of Seven suddenly nodding, then leaving. Obviously fleeing to another location which brought Min to return to a natural and iconic annoyed expression, finding it annoying that the redhead up and left out of the blue without a word to be said. Apart of her wishing to bluntly making a comment as she always had during moments like this, but refraining due to her daughter in the room. So instead, she simply sighed and shook her head, which quickly grabbed a hold of her daughter’s attention, the poor child looking between the two two adults quite confused and now curious as to why her mother would react in such a way.

After being spoken to - Min’s attention seemed to quickly be captured, looking back over to the fellow brunette and meeting his gaze. The woman seeming to watch him for a moment before eventually nodding, seemingly to agree with him but taking the moment and biting the inside of her cheek. Again, trying to refrain herself from making another bitter comment due to her child in the room, “Mhm.” Min finally said, flashing him a staged smile, “guess I’m just going to have to wait a little longer.” she said sweetly to combat his serious tone, trying to make sure her child was quite oblivious toward her current distaste at the moment.

Still confused, Nari again looked between the two adults, wishing to ask some questions to try and understand why Vanderwood and Min seemed to have this odd moment and why the tall red head seemed to leave as well. Had she done something wrong? Did she do something rude or mean? Nari wanted to pout but her attention was caught the moment she was addressed! “Treats?!” She asked, obviously quite pleased, excited, and happy at the mention of candy, remotely even gaining something of the sort, “there’s treats here?!” She said, rushing to the agents feet as her sapphire hues seem to twinkle in excitement, completely seeming to forget all the negativity that seemed to strike her interest moments before. Gently grabbing the hem of his current outfit as she observed him, “Where are they??? Show me!” She demanded, bouncing a bit.

Gently walking over, Min chuckled slightly, “hey Nari, no. You know you can’t just grab people..” she said, a warm motherly tone in her voice as she tried to gently discipline her daughter.

       “Oh, now I have to stay alive because I’m needed by the agency. But back then you were saying you’d not mind killing me. Even said you would.”

       He never understood the times Vanderwood contradicted his words. He didn’t know whether he was throwing threats so to make him work but he thought he’d know by now that he didn’t care if he were to die. So these threats were pointless.

       “I’m just a tool anyway. I’m needed but only so to benefit others, nothing else,” he stated while opening the front door to the driver’s seat, not responding to his question as he thought this was the obvious answer to it. Surely he felt stinging pain from the scratch caused by an assault on his side with a knife earlier. Luckily, it was a scratch and the knife didn’t go anywhere near penetrating him deeply, at least, it didn’t because Vanderwood came into the picture and killed the person who wielded that sharp object.

       “The reason why you’re keeping me alive is that so you’d not have problems if I were to die,” he added, assuming that was the case. The more he grew older the better he understood how this thing worked. He even witnessed an agent dying and his partner not reacting much to it other than calling the Boss about it. Losing a partner usually wasn’t the best thing since there were deadlines they have to adhere to and managing alone was almost impossible. But there would be a replacement regardless. It had been years since he was living with Vanderwood but they’ve only had a professional relationship and he started to think that it was becoming similar to the other agents’. He never knew how Vanderwood felt about him as a person, so he was only speculating that.

Make Me Feel

                             “ Look Van, you need to learn how to get                               yourself back out into the world. It’s not                               healthy   keeping   yourself  cooped  up                                like  Luciel.  At  least  try  to  enjoy   this                               musical.  It’s    something   different   at                                least. ”

                     He grabbed the Ex agent by the wrist and practically               dragged him into the venue to find their assigned seats.

“Rude.” Oh wow, it seemed like this guy was in a bad mood. Beside the obvious fact that he was at a place where he SHOULDN’T be and run right into a trap, the man seemed to be really collected for someone in such a situation. Dazai had expected him to react differently. Well, he was always open for surprises. “Why are you here and what do you want? I don’t have the whole day to bother with a rat like you.” His expression was cold as he looked at the stranger. Why did he always have to deal with such people? Couldn’t he for once fulfill his job without being bothered by someone? It was already bad enough that some of the people he worked with were not able to follow orders and strangers interrupting his plans just added on to him being annoyed.
