The 100 rewatch ep. 2x1 the 48
Hello there! Hereâs my super long recap/meta live watch,stenographer style:
Open to Clarke sitting in the floor of the creepy white room from the previous ep 1x13, she looks out the window in the door & boom!
Hazmat suit Maya! Sheâs worried for Monty! Yikes Clarke, that cut!!!
She is a beast when she feels threatened I still canât watch that happen lol now sheâs holding maya at shard point. âWho are you people?âBoom first look at the dining hall & all its uneasy glory.
Behold! A wild Bellamy appears! My aesthetic is Bellamy running through the forest with a spear.
Monroe & sterling startle him, but then heâs right back into protect my kids mode. Looking for Finn.
Heâs finds him & that other poor kid, as he watches Tristan cut the unnamed kids throat đ another mark for Bellamyâs mental list of peopleâs deaths he feels he shouldâve prevented. Yet again proving my point that grounders are vicious. & he did just lose his whole army to these teens.
*sidenote* if Bellamy wouldnât have saved Finn & he was taken to Lxa I wonder how things wouldâve turned out? Finn wouldnât have lost his mind looking for Clarke & killed the 18 innocents. What would Lxa have done with him? What would he have told her? Itâs an interesting thought.
But alas We will never know.**
Cut to Octavia & Lincoln. Heâs teaching her that very important safe passage line that ends up saving adventure squad in ep 3x14 is it weird to anyone else how Octavia is lecturing Lincoln on his culture that sheâs known about for 4 weeks? It seems exposition-y to me. Heâs going to save her via beetle.
Cut to grounder coming to pillage the dropship only to be met by Raven & an automatic weapon lol poor girl is all alone in the dropship, how terrifying that mustâve been she was there for like 24hrs like that.
She literally wouldâve killed Murphy right on the spot. She is ruthless. I really hope these two have a talk in s4
Back at MW:
Enter Dante Wallace with Maya chatting Clarke up. Maya is a bit upset but Dante is trying to make Clarke feel
comfortable,Offering her a wardrobe.
But she is a survivor so she just takes a heel as a weapon lol
Dante explaining how the mountain sustains its self (the fresh water from an underground reservoir may be something they need to survive in s4)
Explaining how the mountain people never adapted to survive above ground. Why the sky people are even more acclimated than the grounders. (Thinking where this ends up going yikes!) he knows she has the heel lol he has cameras everywhere that is actually really spooky. They donât live any differently than the ark in terms of the "government powerâ itâs totalitarian in its ways. The people really donât have any say in how things are done.
Awwww!! Mom Clarke reunited with her kids! She hugs Monty & Jasper & then right down to business âFinn & Bellamy?â Jasper âthey didnât make itâ Clarke: âwe donât know thatâ sheâs already planning to escape & find her boys.
Back to the dropship : Raven coughing up blood, Murphy rushing to her aid. Raven: why are you helping me?â Murphy: "I donât wanna die aloneâ even though this isnât âgoodâ Murphy yet, I feel for him. Heâs so alone, just like Raven. But Raven had been embraced & loved by the 100 & Bellarke while he was hanged, shunned, run out of town as it were. He really just needs love. Bless him.
Cut to the forest: âI know youâre scared,but we are warriors!!â Bellamy giving a short inspirational speech to sterling & Monroe. *sidenote I really miss this side of Bellamy,I hope we see a rekindling of his Aragorn style passion & speeches in s4**
Of course they bail on him here though, Finn tells Bellamy to run, he tries to take Tristan out anyway. He throws his spear with good aim but the warrior just dodges it. Now he pummels Bellamy. My Sweet boy always getting hurt.
*sidenote* I think I understand Bellamyâs irrational behavior with trying to protect Finn, even when Lxa demands him & Bellamy knows Finn is guilty. Itâs because in ep 1x13 Finn ran away from safety with Clarke & the dropship to save Bellamy. Bellamy knows this. He is such a loyal person & he will do whatever it takes to repay that debt he feels he owes Finn. Even though we know Finn did it for Clarke, Bellamy doesnât.
After all the harsh words & ways Finn tried to undermine Bellamy in S1 he turns around & saves him. That leaves an impression on Bellamy. Heâs still not used to other people looking out for him.**
Cut to Lincoln:
he hears Octavia scream, & heâs goes running back, action hero shot!! Slow motion running through water lol (I actually really like this shot)
Octavia says she saw a man. a monster. Iâm still waiting for an explanation from the writers on this one. Is it a dropped plot line? a sleeper plot line like Luna? I need answers!!!
Back to MW:
Awww Monty & jaspers sweet moment of happiness over pie & cake.
But hereâs Clarke to be a party crasher with her plan to try & escape. Clarke: âthis place is to good to be trueâ oh hun just wait.
Awww Jasper & Mayaâs âmeet cuteâ over the last piece of chocolate cake lol such an old Hollywood trope.
Clarke comes over to chat/actually to steal Mayaâs keycard. Clarke running, trying to find her way out. The place is a maze. Another lever to pull. She doesnât pull it. This time.
Maya isnât a cupcake either. The girl was ready & willing to drop Clarke right there if it meant saving âher peopleâ she grows in leaps & bounds for the short amount of time that we know her.
Jasper talking her down. Now talking Clarke down. Clarke:â I donât believe themâ Jasper: âwhy would they lie?â Oh Jasper you have so much to learn. Sadly.
Jasper: because of you weâre safeâ Clarke: ânot all of usâ both of them are crying now. Jasper âIâm the one who fired the rockets, should I not have done that?â
**sidenote** omg! I never thought about this! Jasper thinks he killed Bellamy & Finn!! Heâs the one that pushed the button!
Also this is why I get mad at him in S3 when he calls Clarke & Monty âmass murdersâ because going by his own generalization of that he is one too! He & Monty have equal death counts like Bellamy & Clarke & for that matter Kane & Abby.
This trio of duos trying to keep their people alive, by sadly killing others. Itâs interesting that jonty is paralleled like Bellarke & Kabby.***
Also Clarke is standing by a round door about to pull a lever that will kill everyone,Jasper is trying to stop her.
In S3 Clarke is in the COL standing outside a round door to pull a lever & resurrect everyone from the COL. Jasper is standing there,trying to stop her. Hmmm.
Cut to the dropship:
Raven & Murphy in pain. Raven asking him why heâs an awful human. âAre you gonna cry Murphy?â Man Raven can be stone cold when she doesnât value you. Murphy telling his sad story about his parents. Bless this charred cinnamon roll. Heâs never been given a chance by anyone.
Cut to the forest:
Finn trying to help Bellamy stay alive. Monroe & sterling finally decide to stop being scared & help their friends. Monroe chanting âwe are warriorsâ over & over.
*This girl loves & respects Bellamy. This is why she joins him in S3 she trusts him. Itâs a powerful thing. Heâs proven his care & devotion to all the 100. They have faith in him. I hope we see that come back in S4*
They donât get to kill Tristan before Kane pops two rounds in his head. Kane âweâre here nowâ oh boy Kane, they were just fine without you for 4 weeks.
*Abby approaching Bellamy & Finn as Bellamy struggles to stand* Abby: donât stand" Bellamy âIâm fine, we need to get back to the dropshipâ bless him, heâs beat all to hell, can barely stand but heâs âfineâ because heâs gotta go get those kids.
Abby: âwhereâs Clarke?â As she literally grabs Finn & pushes him out of the way so she can make eye contact with Bellamy. Its him sheâs asking, not Finn. Mama ainât no fool,she knows who the actual leader is.
Finn & Bellamy leading Kabby to the dropship.
Cut to Lincoln & Octavia, sheâs succumbing to the poison slowly. Heâs worried & picks up the pace.
Back at the dropship:
Bellamy: âitâs too quietâ knowing something is wrong yet he immediately lunges forward to rush straight into danger. Reckless!Dad Bellamy. Kane stops him. Heâs trying to alpha male one up Bellamy. Instead he gives out orders. Kane is mr bossy pants in S2A
Kabby enters the dropship. Murphy directs Abby to Raven âhelp herâ (thereâs the Murphy I come to love later.) Raven breaking the news that sheâs doesnât know where Clarke is. Abby: âwhat happened to you?â Raven *looks at Murphy knowingly:âI got shotâ the twinge of surprise on Murphyâs face when she doesnât expose him. Priceless.
Bellamy pacing outside man off screen âwe need a stretcherâ & Bellamyâs about to charge in with Finn. *its interesting how all the reaction shots are Bellamy. When Clarke comes up etc. Finn is not the one the camera wants you to see worried*
they out run the guards & sneak through a fox hole to the dropship. Murphy is being lead out. Murphy: there were 100âs of them, I donât know what wouldâve happened I it wasnât for Raven" he knows she saved them all,& also heâs wanting to repay her for not ratting him out. He catches Bellamyâs eye & Bellamy sees red. He attacks Murphy. Bellamy: âyou murdering son of a bi*châ Murphy: stop! Bellamy as heâs punching Murphy: âthis is for Raven!â
*bellamy may not be in love with Raven, but he loves her A LOT*
(I caught that Bellamy said that because I started watching with subtitles. It really helps if you're doing a recap!)
Kane has Bellamy shocked & arrested. *sigh* this Kane I still wanna slap,softly.
Finn tries to defend Bellamy & lists all the awful things Murphy did. & Kanes reply is âyouâre not animalsâ which I find very hypocritical considering these kids were less than animals to the ark. Sent as lab rats to earth. Kane: âthere our rules! Laws!â Hahaha S3 Kane has a few things to say to you beardless.
He looks to Bellamy âyou are not in charge here anymoreâ
this is where Bellamy imo loses his confidence in himself heâd been building with Clarkeâs help. He feels like a failure. He didnât protect his people. Once again what he loved has slipped right through his fingers.
*sidenote* this scene with Kane is also paralleled in ep 2x16 when Bellamy enters the harvest room & Kane pats his shoulder & says âYOU did goodâ this is why he grows so attached to Kane, I think. He proved his worth & Kane appreciated it. Acknowledged it.*
Back to MW:
Clarke is brought to Dante, he tells her about discovering the grounders. How his father opened the doors to MW resulting in 54 dead. His mother & sister among them. This is probably what spurred Dantes father in the direction that turned them into basically vampires. Before that they were a good society I bet. But they wanted to much. They got greedy.They found a way to get on the ground. He has Clarke led away to her room.
Back to the dropship:
Finn: âweâre leavingâ Bellamy looking alarmed âthis is where theyâll come backâ
Finn: I donât think theyâre coming back, the grounder took them & you know that" *cue crazy eyes finn* Bellamy looks so sad. Finn:âwe get reinforcements, then we find our friendsâ Bellamy: how many more of us will be dead by then?â
Thereâs that list of the dead Bellamy keeps in His head Again.
Finn: âAbby says Raven needs surgery or sheâs gonna dieâ Bellamy looks over at Raven back to Finn. His pitiful face in this episode man!
Kane yells for Abby to move out, sheâs carving a message into the dropship
yet again the camera focus cuts from Abby straight to Bellamy as he reads what it says. Abby shoots him a look & they make eye contact as they walk out of the gate. The message: âClarke please come HOMEâ with the coordinates. As the song in the back ground says âwe are coming homeâ
Music montage that cuts to the dining hall in MW with Clarke & co. *btw the song is called âhome llâ by the band Dotan*
Clarke trying to fit in, she takes her gifted art set & starts making an escape map, because sheâs Clarke lol
Cut to Octavia lying on the ground alone.
Then to Bellamy & Finn forest crew walking through the gate of camp Jaha Sinclair & Jackson so happy to see Abby!
Sinclair such a sweetie đ˘ I will miss him.
Oh yeah! Jaha! Trying to make contact the ground. Thinking heâs gonna die soon. I love how he says âtell Kane & Abby as long as they work together everything will be okay.â Foreshadowing of Kabby & Bellarke tbh
Jahas gonna die peacefullyâŚ.but then! He hears a baby cryâŚ..
