To all of our followers, thank you for your support. I just thought I'd fill you in with where we are at. As you probably know the 86 Brewing Co. started from a love of beer, home brewing and most importantly drinking beer. We want to take this project from home brewing to super bad ass professional brewing that is capable of converting craft beer virgins. A lot of our time is going into developing recipes and trying to perfect our craft. We just invested in some new equipment which Steve has plumbed together with just a samurai sword and old skool hip hop music for company; who knew it was possible?
Sunday is brew day for us, we are both a big fans of IPA's especially the West Coast American versions, those Californian hoppy bastards certainly know how to brew. The aim is to create a mid range 5-6% beer, with interesting hoppy aroma and flavour, mixed with the best British malt money can buy, Maris Otter. We will put the recipe up on the site in a month once the beer is finished regardless if it's brilliant or complete balls, that way other people won't make our mistakes but can benefit from our success. Either way it's probably going to have more flavour than our local commercial brewery in Northampton, the one that lads drink because it's a football sponsor. "Northampton based commercial piss water beer brand don't make craft beer, but if they did, they would want to be like The 86 Boys." - I think you can guess who it is.
