Sympathy from the Devil ll Lucy and Jesse

Of course Lucy knew of the Antichrist's existence. It was something that really was rather essential knowledge. She also knew of the power the Antichrist possessed, power that nearly rivalled her own. Almost.

At first, she'd been tempted to search him out and smite him. That seemed to be a reasonable course of action. After all, the boy was certainly going to be powerful. She'd quickly rethought, however, after realising what else she could do.

The boy was powerful, therefore he was useful. Presumably, he'd faced a lot of danger from angels and demons alive who'd tried to kill him for his power. He'd probably lived a lonely life, fearing all sorts of creatures that were out to harm him. Maybe, just maybe, she could take the boy under her wing. Maybe she could convince him that she was just as misunderstood as he was. If she offered him protection and affection, played the part of a mother, maybe she'd make a powerful ally in the process.

Finding him was tricky enough. It had taken her a while too, but she'd finally tracked him down. She'd been tempted to send demons after him to bring him to her, but that really wouldn't help her façade of a concerned, motherly figure. Instead, she chose to appear in person in the middle of the room the boy was standing in, holding out her hands in a placating manner. "Hello there, Jesse, I'm not here to hurt you."
