I'll call your mom. WIP Blocking in progress. So...I'm going to attempt a thing. Jestine comes home, all demon like because large amounts of magic can warp ya like so, as usual, and Aunty Nix is upset that the shop was left unattended. Jestine, high on magic like, "what exactly can you do now, aunty?" And Aunty replies, "I'll call your mom." Mothers in Arcana are a force to be reckoned with and so I will continue that trend. Demon Jestine x Julian comic WIP . Oh Lord, my eyes...this was done without ref, just to get it on paper faster and visualize what's going on. . Jestine finally wakes up from the shock of being in the realms so long. Julian is learning medicine in Prakra and she's on his rounds at the hospital. It's a half Moon night, so magic is better balanced. Jestine can feel the horns on her head and is pretty sure she doesn't look human anymore (see the demon portrait I did earlier). So tonight is the night she needs to work some transformation magic. . Jestine: I need a mirror. Julian: There's a large mirror downstairs. Jestine: good, take me there or I'm sneaking down myself. Julian: alright...*smirk* not sure how far you'd get without my help. . cut to the mirror, full size, and Jestine see's the reflection and jumps in front of Julian protectively before realizing it's her own reflection. . Jestine: This is what I look like? Julian: Only on the outside. Jestine: I'm sorry... Julian: Don't be sorry, why are you sorry? Jestine: I'd no idea how terrifying I look; when I woke up, there was a chain on my wrist...did I hurt anyone? Julian: No. It was...a precaution...? You sleepwalk. . Jestine takes inventory of her appearance and remarks how much its going to hurt. Julian volunteers to retrieve something for pain, and Jestine agrees it would be very helpful, and so our good doctor runs out to retrieve said pain med; which is good cuz she didn't want him watching what happens next. . Transformation spells require blood and bone as ingredients/conduits. Illusion can be done with a drop of water but true transformation requires a lot more efforts. And it's not the first time this has happened to Jestine albeit not to this degree. Jestine pep talks herself before tearing off her horns! "Step one, completed." . I'm still drawing the quick transformation (and continuation of her time in Prakra) by the time Julian returns and she's covered in blood.
