4/19: FAMILY: What was their family like?

Omen’s family is only composed of his twin sister who he holds very close to his heart, you can almost say they are soulmates. He always placed her before him, protecting her of everything since she was born with a weaker body, not being able to handle the great magic living inside of her. They had a wild and dangerous life before getting the sweet little shop.  They didn’t get any signs / news of their parents since a long time, so they don’t really know if they are still alive or dead.

Courtier Week 2018 - Consul Valerius

“Izanauri Viator.”

Perched on a bench at the edge of the room, their indigo head lifted, dark midnight blue eyes taking in the lounging robed figure on settee.  

“Consul,” they replied in their smooth, cool voice.  

“Do you find these council meetings as tedious as I do?”

“More.”

He allowed that with a careless swirl of his wine, “Of course.  I actually have to pay attention and do my job.”  He sounded less than enthused, his voice dripping scorn, “It’s riveting to listen to those four go on and on about pointless things.  I’m sure you’d rather be anywhere else.”

Izanauri’s fingers slowly plucked the strings of their oud contemplatively, “Perhaps.”

“Oh I know,” Valerius waved his hand dismissively, “Count Lucio ordered you to attend all council meetings so he’d have something more pleasant to listen to than everyone’s bickering.  I admire your obedience to Lucio’s orders.  But he’s dead, you don’t have to stay.  What keeps you here?”

Iza glanced down at their instrument again, the broad belly of the oud cradled on their lap, the strings strummed by elegant fingertips.  They knew why they stayed; to listen.  They listened, they learned, they found secrets, and they waited, biding their time.  They were a court musician, no one paid them any attention.  Which served their purposes just fine.  

A hand closed around the neck of their instrument and their midnight blue eyes snapped up.  Consul Valerius leaned over them, his pale golden eyes boring into theirs.  His lips curved, “Well, Izanauri?  What keeps you here?”

They didn’t say it out loud, but it was written in their eyes: I don’t know.

His smile widened, his hand lifting from the oud to tuck an errant short curl of indigo hair behind their ear, “It’s so amusing to me that, out of all of us, you were the one who lost their memory.  You, Izanauri Viator, who started it all.”

“What do you mean?”  He made to move away but their hand caught his wrist and they were on their feet, the oud resting on the pillows of the bench.  Their eyes were ice cold as they bored into the Consul’s smirking face, “What do you know?”

He leaned close, spitting out, “Everything.”

He pressed them back against the wall, wine glass forgotten, splashing to the carpeted floor.  His mouth found theirs, smug and haughty as he kissed them.  They gasped into his mouth, more surprised than anything, his hands on their waist and cupping their cheek.  When he pulled back, Izanauri’s normally cold, aloof face, was wide with shock and outrage.  

“I know,” he whispered against their lips, “That it was you who told Lucio the Arcana could be contacted.  It was you who gave him the idea to make a deal with the Devil.  And, my sweet viper,” he brushed a kiss to their lips again, familiar and intimate, the kiss of someone who had kissed them before and often, “I know you conspired with your pet doctor to infect him with the plague.”

Iza didn’t bother to try and deny it, they could feel the truth of it in their soul.  

“So, Iza,” Valerius crooned, “It’s all because of you.  Don’t you think it’s time to finish what you started?  The Dark Arcana is waiting.”

I absolutely cannot draw, so I used an avatar maker gamer to get a rough idea of what he looks like. That was also the closest to his hair I could get, even though it’s still way off. Anyway:

I’M 3 DAYS LATE BUT I REALLY WANTED TO DO THE APPRENTICE WEEK - so i’m dumping all the info here 

4/15 [ Name ] : His birthname is Prince (because this is a shameless self insert) but he's been nicknamed "Crow" ( and sometimes "bad omen" ) by the townspeople due the murder of crows that follow him around. Asra affectionally refers to him as his “little prince", adressing him as "his majesty". This little joke carried over to some of his other friends and acquaintances.

4/16 [ Magic ] : Crow’s magic is based on the use and manipulation of light in any form. He often uses it to entertain the young children of Vesuvia, creating pretty shows at night - But his specialty is summoning weapons, which contradicts his non-confrontational behaviour. Crow relies heavily on symbols for spells, runes and any other visual help to perform magic because of his neglect towards his own training. This is also the reason he has so many tattoos, since he finds carrying a spell book quite bothersome.

Like Nadia, he has clairvoyant dreams, though they’re not as clear as hers and often predict possible catastrophes. Sadly, he always forget them upon waking up. Crow also has an affinity with stars and the moon ! ( cause his Tarot card is the Moon, get it) and absolutely fucking sucks at healing magic.

4/17 [ Love ] :  Crow has loved every single one of his past partners (despite how their relationship might’ve ended) , so believing that every single human being has only one true soulmate makes him feel uneasy. According to him, it implies that none of his past or future relationships matter at all since there’s already One Person(tm) destined to be with him. 

Needless to say, Crow has a horrible fear of commitment so that might be another reason as to why he hates the whole “one true soulmate” thing.
