Honestly, optimism you and seasurfacefullofclouds are showing is one of the very few things that are assuring me right now. We can't give up if Louis hasn't.

Oh well, thats lovely. Thank you and nice to meet you. :) I wouldn't call it optimism to be honest. Ive been pessimistic and angry for Louis from the moment I realised, with the rest of us, what was happening and what was likely to happen, pretty much soon after Holo launched. I was appalled about XF, furious and heartbroken for Louis. But things at the moment are not clear cut. They seem less clear cut than they've been for a while, because Syco-Sony have allowed an inexplicable break in their relentless grinding attrition against Louis and for some reason, which I can’t explain to my own satisfaction, he was able to break from JGG and sign with managers who do have a reasonable reputation. I know those are small chinks of light in the reality of the constant humiliations they've ladled on him for years. The way he reacted in yesterdays snapchat - panic at being seen on camera behaving naturally - was heartbreaking. But the key to my position is in your last line. Louis is still fighting like hell, making the best of everything he can. He’s managed to make XF a personal triumph somehow just by being (to some extent) himself. I think he’s relying on his fans to have his back and he deserves the support imo. We don't know whats coming next. I don't see any point in giving up now.

N: No You Don’t Even Know (STS) by the Butchies. Just a driving little punk song about someone they knew. My Punk Rock Roommate back in grad school said she liked this song because it did such a nice job of talking about the person they wrote it for. Knowing that makes it feel soft in the punk way (bopping and pushing into one another like puppies playing in a space that’s small and that smells like sweaty girls). “no you don't even know/seriously though”

T: Take It Off by Tender Forever. A gentle French queer electropop love song. Feels like the first time you’re lying in bed with a new lover, the sun is coming in really bright because you stayed up so late together, and everything is soft bird hands and tangled kisses. “Don't you think/We should try/To take them off for a while/Tell me stories if you want”
